I had the Ohm Walsh 2 when they came out. I used them off and on over 30 years. Unfortunately the glue used for the internal braces fails and they fall off. I noticed this when I was moving them around. There was something rattling. It is a common issue and difficult to get your hands and arms in the box to repair. Otherwise they were still working. These used a cloth surround so no failed foam or rubber surround. Best to get the Ohm upgrade kit for these if you have them.

It sounds silly to pay thousands for cables that make 1% difference😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 His statement proves cables and snake oil.

Must have missed the Roger Russell papers on speaker cable. Nice system but complete overkill in that room. Gyp board is better than paneling or the wood ceiling. And paper faced insulation for bass traps? Really. Who is this guy? I get the whole "you can't take it with you", but at least drop 5k in the room and update it out of the 70s. Before you go batshit insane and start dropping serious coinage have your ears professionally tested. I spent 38 years working on jets and I have noticeable hearing loss. So while this is a beautiful system I probably couldn't detect a minute difference like this man could.

Nice i havent had any burn in bought the a90k 48” after 3 weeks but yeah man sony makes a very reliable product and there stuff always tends to last a long time as long as you have adequate ventalation and dont keep an image stuck on the screen for too long. The a90k has awesome color i love it. And the sound is great but yeah as long as the content screen is always moving and constantly refreshing then it’ll probaly be fine

D1100 is a DAC with volume control. Not sure why he's calling it 'pure digital', it has analog outputs. He mentions some items being pretty old so he's partially over the FOMO.

I have the 9060 speakers and 9080 center. Let them break in for few days at low to medium volume listening. Sound is glorious. I just rewatched Terminator 2 and I hear sounds I never hear before. Truly an immersive experience.

I love the McIntosh and I love the enthusiasm. But this room is so terribly uninspiring. Sorry but all that EXTRA money spent on 1% can be used towards an architecturally designed room. Right now these gorgeous components are lost in the array of clutter, wiring bubble wrap and clothing.

Sensitivity does not mean better sound. The Fluance is way more balanced and you can not do a real sound check through us listening from our computers.

don't understand why need to have a c1100 and d1100 if you have a mcintosh cd player (not transport). In my thinking would be he likes the sound of a tube preamp but he doesn't have a cd player only a transport for example... in case he liked the sound of solid state better than tubes he would have only the d1100 with the controller and not the c1100 tube preamp

Your preferred speakers are $750. That's a bit steep for me! It would be more attainable and less foolish for me to choose the $200 fluance.

Well said. I watch a good deal of sports so I am not going oled. At present I have a Sony Bravia thats 12years old and running strong lol. Only 32 inches . I want something bigger for sports . I would love the Sony A9S 48 inch but ,,,,,, lots of logos on sports so I am seeking another led Sony. I am glad your having good luck with yours. Oled pictures are terrific. Happy 2022.

In less than 2 years, I got burn in on my Sony A8G OLED. It's a large grey blob in the middle of the screen. I took extra care. It's a bad panel. Sony disagreed, said it's image retention, burn in, static image blah blah blah. No more OLED for me. No more Sony either. When you pay more you shouldn't have to baby more
