The decibel reading should be matched . Some speakers just take more power to drive . If you compared Cerwin Vega to JBL and CV is 3 times louder, does that make them better ?

Good video. I liked the comparison test. I am going with the Fluance. They will be paired with a sub.

Great video. Honest comparison. I'm on a journey to find a set of budget bookshelf speakers under $300. Thank you.

can i use this for djing in my bedroom? i wanna practice djing and am confused with what speakers to get

Sensitivity does not mean better sound. The Fluance is way more balanced and you can not do a real sound check through us listening from our computers.

They sound better than my Aomis Life bluetooth speaker but they can't beat the Klipsch reference even the movie theaters use Klipsch.

Your preferred speakers are $750. That's a bit steep for me! It would be more attainable and less foolish for me to choose the $200 fluance.

Hmmm, I'm kinda siding with the Fluence speakers here, they sound more dynamic, airy and balanced to me. For context, I listened through a Little Dot mkII headphone amp via a pair of HiFiman 4xx planar cans...

Exactly why I stopped doing speaker videos. Too much back and forth and uncertainty in the space. Way too many variables. Now I see why my buddy Shane over at Spare Change just does expensive speaker reviews now. There's no room for debate. If they cost upwards of $10K for a pair, they're gonna sound good regardless. They reach a specific point where the average consumer says okay those sound damn good. Audiophiles? that's a different crowd. You can never please those folks just look at how often they upgrade their gear they can never make up their damn mind.

@@EliasJRosario The thing with speakers is that they are subjectively personal, 'one mans trash is another mans treasure', and it's always going to be this way. Incidentally, I am a recovering audiophile... 😉

Def Techs are pretty trash for hi fi. Great for home theater, but they cannot be compared to B&W or even Fluance.

Ninjician TV considering your previous comments on past live streams, thanks for stopping by and for your input. I’ll look into other brands based on your comments ;)

@@EliasJRosario No problem. For the money I really like the Mythos series, but watching your video the vocals were smoother on the bookshelves.

Elias, I have the Flus, paired with Elac Debuts 6.2s . Used only as 2.1 Stereo setup in my fi ished basement as a COVID studio / mancave to play My Music (69 yo - retired this year with physical arhtiric disabikities in the spine) , and also play the same music to accompany playi g my drums [after a 51 year hiatus]. I have committed the major faux paux of mixing speaker brands. However, they are both rated at 6 ohms . Connected to a Denon DRA -800H Receiver. All purchased this year. I am thinking of upgradung the Flus to either: another pair of the same Elacs, Triangle RO3s or Klipsch 600Ms. I , like many audiophiliacs , obsess over their equipment, ever content with what we have, seeking superiority. Unfortunately for me, Perfectionism can be a "sickness", a consequence of obsessive compulsive behavior. I watch vids like yours, Guttenberg, Zero Fidelity, Cheapaudioman, etc.... i liked your comparison to discount the Fluance claim. But they are nice soundi g speakers and for $200 seem like a bargain. Im thinking of adding the Flus to my LR setup which is a NAD 1300 Preamp, NAD 2600 Amp, connected to KEF 104 /2 Tower speakers , all procured in 1987!!! Oh yeah, a Dual CS5000 turntable. See what I mean about obsessiveness....... BTW, the basement setup includes a SW which helps to boost the bass subtly. Be safe, Happy Holidays

Thanks for sharing your setup Aldo. Sounds awesome. This space can be very obsessive and very snobbish too! It's why I don't do speaker or audio videos anymore. Too much room for arguing and disagreement that to me is unwarranted considering I would much rather prefer more objectivity. If I make any other videos in the future it will be with the upgrades I have made to my theater. A video where I just show the stuff off. Happy New Year!

I have a set of the Fluance and a set of Def Tech D11's. I can tell you for a fact if you put the D11's up against your towers. You will truly have a far different outcome. The D11's will blow away the Fluance as they should but they will surprise you against your towers. Your towers are built toward movie watching. The D11's are built for both movie and music. I challenge you to perform that test. You may be seen kicking cans down the road. Just kidding but seriously. Give it a try and post your results. I think it would be very interesting for your viewers.
