i can't raise my elbows enough so that they are pointing toward the ceiling I can really only go to about a 45 degree angle. and think this might be stopping me from doing the club exercises properly is this something that will kind of fix itself the more I practice with the clubs? or are there stretches I should be doing to gain range in this area?

Hey can you explain the benefits and and effecfs of a heavy club over a mace? Besides being able to swing below, the waist and i understand the 1 handed or double club benefits.. i just mean 2 hand heavy club. It feels to me like more hypertrpphy in the arms and the length makes the 360 faster with a smaller circular movement. The benefits of maces n clubs go beyond ROM and shoulder health but its hard to really explain. Also i guess clubs train wrist rotation under load which makes it unique

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. A couple of things could be happening and the first one is that the strap on your left hand is not as tight as the one on the right period sometimes it happens that we can get one strap tighter than the other so if this is the case be sure that both straps are equally tight on the bar. The other issue might be your grip on your left side is not as strong on your right side. You would likely realize this while doing other lifts.So if this is the case some dedicated training for the grip strength and endurance on your left side would be appropriate to balance out the performance between your hands when lifting.

Would it be more engaging for the chest if done on a bench? As elbow's range of motion is bigger compared to the floor?
@12rens

Thanks for the video! Question what is the benefit of this exersize compared to a dumbell press? For me it looks like the dumbell press is better because of a greater range of motion?
@WhiteLionAthletics
@WhiteLionAthletics 7 ай бұрын
Excellent question based on a great observation! A floor press (shown here) can be done with barbells dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags .....for a (at least) a few great reasons. What we mean by great is that it can achieve a number of specific outcomes that might be desirable as a training effect. The Pause: Although there is a reduced range of motion with the floor press relative to one done on the bench, having your upper arm pause at the ground brings the movement to a complete stop before changing direction. This removes any potential momentum generated from bouncing at the bottom when your elbow travels, past your shoulder on a bench. You can definitely pause at the bottom of a dumbbell benchpress; but, the question is, will your elbow always be in the same position? The floor press allows your arm to pause at the same position at every rep.
@WhiteLionAthletics
@WhiteLionAthletics 7 ай бұрын
Easy exit: Using the floor press also provides you with a safe and easy exit. If you cannot complete the repetition period all you need to do is straightener elbows and the dumbbells will come to the ground without having to travel a very large distance like they would if they were if you were on a bench. Why this kettlebell variation? The positioning of this kettle bell is seemingly controversial given some of the comments in the section. All those comments are definitely appreciated, as they do highlight many potential areas for risk for a user that is not familiar with positioning the kettlebell this way, or are in need of the specific outcomes that this press might be able to create if it is done consistently and safely. This type of grip would most accurately be described as a pinch grip. Because your fingertips are the main source of controlling the kettlebell. Almost all pressing is done with a crush grip where the object in your hand is being controlled by your palm and your fingers.
@WhiteLionAthletics
@WhiteLionAthletics 7 ай бұрын
In closing, we would say that if oppressing exercise with a larger range of motion is required than the floor press is not one that might be pursued on a regular basis. If this specific exercise is being considered , doing it on a floor where there is a safe and easy exit , as well as a noticeable pause at the bottom would be a nice option because it is relatively safer than trying it on the bench. Introducing this exercise might be considered if the user is interested in doing the press that requires a pinch grip , which is a unique style of grip when we are pressingconsidering that almost all pressing requires a crushing grip.

@troymatthews9541 Adex is solid product with a thoughtful design. The concentration of the majority of our Bulava's weight load is different and so is the balance point. Depending on the handle length and weight, our Bulava may require more torque. We hope this explanation is helpful! Thank-you very much for taking the time to leave your question!

The sealer will melt the seal without vacuuming it. that's how you close the other side of the bag so we definitely know that it will work that way.

@@WhiteLionAthleticsthanks for explaining to me, I don't know how the sealing device works since I've never used one. About duct tape, is it to ensure the seal doesn't break when you don't vacuum seal it?
@WhiteLionAthletics
@WhiteLionAthletics 4 ай бұрын
@Projectdarksource you're very welcome! Duct tape is recommended for 2 reasons. The first reason is to seal the bag, and the second reason is to actually reinforce the plastic on the bag . duct tape. Being abrasion resistant will hold up longer than the actual plastic will. So you can use the plastic bag as a container for the sand - if you will - and the duct tape will reinforce the plastic bag as well as seal the bag so it does not spill everywhere.

This is much more approachable than people might think - Very happy to hear that you are training with kettlebells! If you start off with a kettlebell in the 4kg to 8kg range (the cast iron kettlebells. Being much smaller than competition bells ) will allow you to most likely tackle this exercise with coffense. if you do have some apprehension, also applying some chalk on your hands before we'll make things more manageable.

The principal of what?
@WhiteLionAthletics
@WhiteLionAthletics 10 ай бұрын
This process is called irradiation - it's the process in which muscles in one part of the body can be “recruited” by the actions of other body parts through neuromuscular pathways. In this example, a strong grip recruits all of the upper extremities, allowing for better strength and stability.

I bought this to replace a very similar item whose foam grips had worn after years of use. kzbin.infoUgkxwyoGHi-cCLV1AqJYj7QeIWKSpdRMYPF1 This one is is even slightly better than the old one I had! (Sorry I don't remember the brand or model.) This bar sits a bit higher in the doorway, giving me more ground clearance for movement, and the foam grips and foam pads that protect the doorway are thicker. It was also very quick and easy to assemble. The only minor gripe I have is that the hand grips in the middle are really tight on the bar, and therefore hard to slide along the bar if you want a wider or narrower grip. You have to be patient and gradually work them into the position you want.
