I observed all of your wax looks quite old--some of the hexagon shapes are disappearing into circular shapes. How old is this wax? and how long to you keep them like this?

My team shared this video which I got from tiktok and we ended up getting a warning from KZbin for copyrights. We are raising awareness about koalas while you took that video down, you are suppressing awareness about koalas. Grow up kid
@aussiebeekeeping3 күн бұрын
That’s how copyrights work. If you don’t own the rights to the video you can’t benefit from it. Perhaps next time ask permission. Thanks for your insulting remarks.

Two things: (1) sugar feed - OH NO! (2) Black spots /wood rot - hard to tell from the video but its not good for bees.

@aussiebeekeeping6 күн бұрын
Nope. The bag has a tiny slit in it

Hey mate, Cool vids Question - you don’t get bees drowning in the sugar/ water bags you put in?

would it not have been better for the bees if you cut the wonky comb to suit the frame then supported with bands to encourage neater rebuilding rather than binned it in the bush?
@aussiebeekeeping12 күн бұрын
Nah. It was in terrible condition. Definitely not worth saving.

So, names for the hives. You’ve named the group Phoenix, after a mythical bird. Maybe continue the theme by naming the hives Griffin and Garuda. These are names of mythical birds.

How many frames of pollen would you leave in a hive? What do you do with frames of pollen you remove? I have long langstroth with 26 deep frames, 6 of which are pollen.
