I love apple butter too. Have you tried it on grilled cheese? Such a nice combo of sweet and savory. Nice to see that Kauffmens jam and jelly prices are $4.50. Kitchen Kettle is now $7.99 for the half pint size.

Yeah I went a bit too fast through the store this trip but hopefully at least you can get a general idea of what you can find in there ;) I always hope to get people interested enough to go themselves ☺️👍 but yes I will try better next time. I don't know how I missed this video! Always love the clip-clop of the horses. Lunch really looked delicious. Bacon Fest???!!!!!! That does sound awesome! I like whenever I see the fresh fruit cups at any store/market/restaurant. Wish I was at the Bird in Hand market. Enjoyed seeing you and your dad enjoying your day. @@douglasdelabar9495 that is definitely PA Dutch 👍😊 I grew up eating that for lunch some days. We would wrap the Bologna around a dill pickle spear sometimes too. However, for this video, it was focused on what you see on the menu at most restaurants. And while it may be on some menus in Lancaster as a lunch item, I don’t think it’s on most. Some of the items people have suggested like you did, I think would make a good Pa Dutch Market video bc Lebanon Bologna is definitely at every farmer’s market I’ve been to in Lancaster 😊👍

Great video! I'm Pennsylvania German & born, raised and currently living in Lancaster County, so I can say with maybe some sort of authority that these are some of these are the very best our county has to offer! Favorite of tourists (and us locals) alike!

Referring to 6:22 The best Pretzels are The Bird In Hand Soft Pretzel Company has by far the best Pretzels of all time they are Located at the Bird In Hand Farmers Market. I Buy 100 pretzels and freeze them every time I go there. The Second best is right down the road. it's a little farm stand I believe it's called Busy Bee Farm Stand.

@@nirvanasworkshop5252 well I’m certainly not going to debate this but what a fun debate that would be 😂😂. The Busy Bee is really good. I’ve not tasted the BIH Farmers Market ones bc they look pretty basic whereas the ones I love from Countryside Roadstand are buttery 🤩. All that to say, it does depend on the pretzel you get from the batch you get. Some days they are better than others 😊👍. I’ll have to give the BIH market pretzel a try. Have you ever tried the ones from Countryside Stand?

@@ElleLiving BIH Pretzels are deceiving. They’re the smallest but pack the biggest punch. And no I have not tried Country Side Stand yet so I will have to try it when I return to visit. It does look good from the photo.

Lancaster has the most wonderful snacks ever I have a question the Lapps Valley Farm you went to where you were sitting on the porch which one is that because I went to both and I not sure which that is and I wanna go back in September and that’s the one I wanna take my mom too thank you for all you do to help others have a great getaway ❤

@@debbienichols3362 aww Debbie you are so kind!! Thank you so much for those sweet words. So the original farm is where you want to go. It is still open for ice cream and walking around. They usually close an hour before sunset and of course closed on Sundays. If you need more info let me know ;) But it’s just called “Lapp Valley Farm” (not Lapp Valley Creamery & Cafe - that’s the new one on Rt 340). Have a grand time!

Hi 👋🏻 Thanks for all these wonderful suggestions. I’m currently in Lancaster and I can’t seem to find a restaurant that serves PA Dutch style chicken and waffles 🥺 Can you suggest a place around Lancaster or even Ronks? Thanks.

@@RoamTownGirl hi there :) Miller’s would be my suggestion- that’s their famous dish that they started with back in like 1929. She would serve chicken and waffles to the gas station customers ! They definitely have it there. And MAYBE Oregon Dairy ?? Hope you find them!

@@ElleLiving Thanks Ellie. I wound up going to Oregon Dairy bc I was able to order C&W off the menu - no buffet required 😉 It was ABSOLUTLY DELICIOUS!! 😋 I'm a fan!! I also had the Menno/Medow mint tea, and a piece of Shoefly pie. All was really good, but I'll be craving more PA C&W for the rest of my days for sure!! It tasted like Breakfast meets Thanksgiving 😜
