bit late to the party man, I've had my channel almost 2 years. If you want any recommendations let me know. The Zephyr is sub par, was OK 2 years ago but tonnes of better options now. My channel is basically reviewing budget BFS rods and reels.
@SinghFishing13 сағат бұрын
For $50 the Zephyr doesn’t feel too bad, I do agree it’s nothing compared to other reels for around the same price but for an entry level reel that can throw light lures and medium size lures it’s pretty good. Bfs has been around for quite some time now i agree but it’s still new to the Australian market. Many of these reels have to be imported from Japan or the US. There’s only a handful of shops that sell these. But it is a rising topic among anglers now with the term being searched now more than ever. You’ve done a great job putting out bfs videos I’ve seen a few of em.
@yep.fishing18 сағат бұрын
what braid are you using? what leader knot are you using?
@SinghFishing13 сағат бұрын
I was using like 3 year old fins evolve braid which is hands down the worst braid I have ever used haha! I reckon I must’ve just tied a dodgy fg knot but I remember applying pressure to the knot when I tied it and it was strong but who knows lol.

Wow dude thats a thumping reddi out of karkarook, I'll definitely try n target them too on my next trip out, any idea what they could take bait wise out of there ? Worms ?
@SinghFishing13 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much! I was surprised there were Redfin that big in there. Imma be honest the lake used to be infested with Redfin. In my old videos 4-5 years back I was pulling em out every cast but ever since the release of native fish the Redfin population has dropped significantly. Which is sad but that means there’s big ones in there. I recommend buying a cheap $5 butterfly net from Kmart and using that to catch flathead gudgeon. It’s a native baitfish that lives in the rocks close to the bank. Next time you go flip a few rocks and catch the gudgeon I used to use em for the Redfin. Worms is a good bait aswell.

Thank you bro! I reckon i might buy some haha luckily the lures I lost were only $5 on clearance. South West Sydney is kinda like South East Melbourne haha. What line rating do recommend using? and could i get a rod combo for udner 100 dollars?
@SinghFishing8 күн бұрын
There's alot of combos you can get for $100 i recommend checking out bcf or anaconda. The quickfire 7ft 2-4kg combo is a great starting point or from bcf, the sienna viper or diawa ultimate finesse combo. All of those are under $100 and will be great to start lure fishing. I personally run 8lb braid and 8lb flourocarbon leader for general saltwater lure fishing around the bay.

hey there I'm not Shahil but I still do some bream fishing myself and I personally use the cheapest version of the Daiwa infeet Z it's a great light rod and it's very durable Ive smashed it into that many walls and gates when riding my bike and thankfully it hadn't snapped Ive had one that's lasted me atleast 4 years now
@EdwardYang-wu7yq10 күн бұрын
@ thanks mate, just asking for maybe a general location on where you fish, you don’t have to answer this.
@Nelly_fishos10 күн бұрын
I normally fish places such as Patterson river for these but they can be very hard since the ones around Melbourne is very educated, there's also places like Mordialloc creek and even kannanook creek
@SinghFishing10 күн бұрын
The rod and location Nelson mentioned was pretty bang on the infeet does feel really nice. But have a look at the azenza from shimano it’s a budget finesse rod and it feels pretty solid. Otherwise Td blacks are nice aswell, if you can find a cheaper price anaconda beats it by 10%
@SinghFishing10 күн бұрын
I usually fish carrum to edithvale for flathead there’s tons on a calm day. Otherwise for carp looks of spots in keysbough and on the Dandenong creek. I do like to fish patto time to time. At the moment lots of big bream use very light gear and small size 8 baitholders to catch ‘em

Nice vid man! I've never actually done a catch a cook cuz don't like the taste of fish xd, but def hope more people catch on to at least eating the carp they kill! I'm no expect but for some reason i've watched vids on how to cook carp even though I'm prob never gonna XD, but there is apparently a blood line to remove that will make it taste better. And apparently the eggs will taste good with an omelet! I've learned it from Cornelius Outdoors, so watch that for a better explanation! Oh and def cook it with bones cuz if you try to remove them raw, they will break into smaller pieces all over so yeah, good choice for that. Hope to see new quick uploads!

100% they deserve more recognition I mean the meat doesn’t compare with a flathead but it’s still really tasty. Hahaha I don’t mind eating carp as long as the water is clean haha!

One of my mates is a big fish eater, catches lots and his inlaws own a fish wholesale market so he gets all types of fish. I took him carp fishing at lake Burrumbeet neat Ballarat, he caught a few and took some home for a laugh and cooked some up for his kids. No stigma with the kids, He's in laws were over and they asked the kids what their favorite fish to eat was, both kids said carp haha
@SinghFishingАй бұрын
Same with me I love eating fish but sometimes I’m too lazy to cook it hahaha! It’s interesting how a lot of people are sharing the same thing. Carp are delicious the only reason I don’t take it home is because of the water quality around here.
@danmurphy5889Ай бұрын
@@SinghFishing yeah but that's with every fish from dirty waters, only thing is carp can live anywhere. Also were blessed here with all the fish species so it's quite easy to call it a trash fish compared to Europe where they don't have as many species.
@SinghFishingАй бұрын
We really are blessed but I reckon I’d pick carp over salmon, snapper and mullet if the water quality was good here. You are right water quality makes a big difference.
