I've watched the original animatic quite a few times over the years and had gotten kinda used to the abrupt ending in the middle of the song (of course i'd also heard the full version but it's not the same), so the moment when the video continues past where the animatic originally ended feels so satisfying and triumphant. I'm reminded that after 6 long years of waiting, unbelievably, the final version is here!

Koishi the character this video is based on is a Satori, a three eyed species that is able to read peoples minds through the eye that floats around their body, as a result everyone in the setting hated them. Koishi was sick of being hated so she permanently shut her third eye, unknowingly removing her ability to read her own mind as well, so now she exists on pure instinct, acting on her thoughts without knowing what those thoughts are . As an extension of this, her ability morphed to cause most people who see her to forget she exists as soon as she is out of sight, children are resistant to this ability so Koishi is basically an "imaginary friend" for children. That's the short version oxo
