While KKHTA is really not for everyone since it has SO much gore and horrible stuff that deserve content warnings, the way the history it's developed, the art style, the music selection, and the sheer weirdness and creepines of it all makes it something really special, one of those horror histories you are not used to seeing now in days, and a piece of art that specially to the end has a lot to say about existentialism and the human condition, if you have the stomach to put up with all the grotesqueness of this work, you will end up finding a comic that may make you rethink many things and have a different view of the world, I personally recommend it :)

For those who wanna know the context, this is based upon a psychological horror Touhou fan comic called Koishi Komeji's Heart Throbbing Adventure, I highly recommend it if you like dark and twisted and somehow philosophical artworks, but I have to warn you, it has a lot of gore and over sensitive things so is not for the faint oh heart

That was the most happiest animated/music video I've ever seen in my life It got me smiling all the way through that I started to feel excited as it went on. That was wonderful, I didn't expect to needed this one to bright up my day Thank you :D Edit (same day this video come out): To all the comments that send me messages (except bots) of checking out the fanfic, comic sorta fanmade of Touhou franchise. Even I barely know the series here (cause of anime), thank you for the messages. I now understand why y'all love this. I'm already at Part 7 and I'm nearly on the verge of tears here Lemme get my semi-review of the comic. It's impressive and crazy to think this is the most early 2010s or late 2000s thing I've seen and discovered in recent memory. And quite possibly the most wholesome and dark and brutal violence thing I haven't seen in quite awhile And the fact it was made by a fan of the franchise is very intriguing. It's not as cringe (except for the "marry your sister" part, I don't know if that one is necessary for a relative or perhaps not. I find that weird) as much as other thing as Creepypasta (I saw someone comment this said) and other awful written edgy straightforward fanfic. This is some rarity I never expected to see, but not surprised considered this is very old. But it was well done wtf The editing, the sound effect, the uses of music hits quite like Webcomic and amv (anime music video) in one. The comic itself, maybe outdated but work so much well with the chemistry of each character and the storywise well connected I didn't think it would get so emotional yet so attached from the sister, to well trying to be a normal girl (go see the comic, it's well done) don't wanna spoiled more. Just giving my thoughts on it thus far stopping at Part 7. I love it Edit again (Monday 5, September 9, 2022): I hit a brick wall here at the finished line. Only and sadly unfortunately, it's just at 8/9 at Part 19. Left completely on a cliffhanger to the fanmade series (except for some other people's fanmade their own ending to the fanmade to end on a good note) Lemme get this outta the way first, this felt incomplete, for me to be honest. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing, I'm just left confused yet amusing at the same time. I don't think the transition and the flashback and the whole connection works very well (when you figure it out, like everything) beside that... It still works, like wtf is happening? We went from going to get one useful item (I won't spoiled which specifically) to apparently had Gojira?? Not only that, but the message hits quite STRONG on 8/9 where it left off. It reflects you back to Koishi (our like main protagonist) to the beginning. Like if this is like turning your brain off, and escape everything to... Something that makes you smile and happy despite the past circumstances of beyond tragedy you face with that you can't handle even if you try... Open your hearts, even if it hurts. Just accept the fate til the end, you'll know what's best for anyone if you open to and help those and being and care for those for a thousand and thousand of years. I find that quite heartbreaking but also quite endearing to say the least Anyway, this is a perfect series to visit. I can FULLY now understand why y'all really really really enjoy and love this so much even revisit it. I can't describe how emotional weight did this sorta comic fanmade has brought me in. So good, yet so disturbing, creepy, intense, horrific, and wholesome You love to see it (for the most part. There's some I find myself distance from very disturbing point like 😥)

Canonically they sometimes do act exactly like what you describe, so you're not actually that far off. Don't worry about what's canon and what's not, though. What's make touhou fun is the fan interpretation on each character and story, because of how many fanworks is out there.

As a Touhou fan, I believe we're all impressed by KKHTA (no matter loving it or hating it, we still love Touhou yeah?). But since viewers of this video aren't all Touhou fans and many people wants to share it, I have some worries. Well, I mean, people who aren't that knowledgeable about Touhou might start to have misunderstandings about the series or even hating it when they begin to watch KKHTA, because KKHTA is not that suitable for everyone. So, as a Touhou fan, I think, those who feel like to recommend KKHTA (including me of course lol) to people who aren't Touhou fans, should first emphasize that KKHTA is a fan derivative work of Touhou series, and maybe do some explaining about what Touhou is. This is a more appropriate way to share this great story and Touhou in my opinion.
