Another great video. Thanks. Wanted to say another thing I hate about the Eddie scene and James' different delivery. Not only is James not afraid or shocked as in the original, he's actually trying to 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 Eddie with a tone that says "Don't be naughty." He's being a viewer-insert Good Guy in that moment, speaking truth from the heart even with a gun pointed at him, because deep down James is a hero! It's a gosh darn feel-good Hollywood delivery. If only I can get through to this poor misguided teen!

Everyone is saying the remake is better than the original Silent Hill 2, if they believe that, then they are as inferior minded as the new game! I hope you get better and your surgery goes well and come back and sound off on this issue with people in the Silent Hill community! The characters are different, the dialogue has changed in places, and the music is watered down compared to the original. These people need to be corrected from their delusionals! This offense will not be acceptable against the og masterpiece, that introduced true psychological horror, mentally and physically!

Great video. It seems to me, the new developer, Bloober did not understand the source material fully. All the apparent and subtle moments that made the original SH2 so memorable, cathartic and moving, are designed in a certain order for a reason, e.g. the chiasmus structure of the dialouges and scenes. It is a very well thought out, with coherent artistic vision, multilayered, confrontational journey through the darkest realms of the psyche. In the original game, the characters' interactions are more emotionally charged at times, and their emotive struggles are more palpable. Just because, the remake uses familiar external features and more aesthetic graphics, it does not mean, it has the same depth as the original.

Hey man, I'd like to see your opinion now. Your points in this video were valid concerns at the time. Me personally, Im a huge fan of the second game, i just did my 10 star run two months ago, and I loved all my playthroughs. The remake had me slightly worried, but then i saw that the original art director was involved in the development and it made me feel a little better. Imo, I'm just glad it turned out to be a great game. It will never replace the original, but now we're gonna start getting alot of SH content in the next for years.

Yeah so after having watched the entire game on a leaked livestream. I can safely say they didn’t fuck it up. Eddie is an overall improvement period.

I feel like if it was done with love and care it could be done right. It needs to have a crew who have a real reverence and respect for all the details and what those details say about the games deeper meanings. If I could work on any project like that I would be on cloud nine. This game deserves the respect so it is never forgotten. This is just Konami hurriedly throwing whatever they can at us, for some quick cash. They never deserved team silent. I wish TS could have all migrated to a better company who got this game cause konami ain't it. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The switch between game graphics and real life footage is so jarring. And the voice acting is just terrible.

Just for reminder, there will be always the og version, the pc EE, your original ps2 copies and the emulators, this remake isnt gonna destroy those versions, be open minded, im not saying this remake is a Masterpiece, but either doesnt look that bad as some people think, the mayority is optimistic, you van see that in the history tráiler.
