It's always saddening when a KZbin content creator I've been following for years decides to discontinue posting new material. It seems that's what's happened here. There's a new owner of the Meridian that is now based in Florida. Eaglemania has a new drummer. I hope Jon is well, just moved onto other interests in life. It happens. After I earned my instrument rating last year, I stopped flying and now I build wood furniture in my spare time.

Aha! You provoked me out of retirement to reply! I’m flattered that you enjoyed my channel so much and I’m sorry I haven’t produced more content. It really really takes a lot of time - about 90 minutes of post production for every minute you see. To be honest, the channel never really took off (no pun) the way I had hoped. I’m glad that for some people the intent of it resonated and I hope that it will continue to fill a niche somewhere. I thank you for your support. As for me, I would never ever ever give up flying! Since I stopped producing videos, I sold the Meridian, got typed in and subsequently bought a citation mustang. I’ve added types in the C525 line as well as the Boeing-727, which I’ve developed a little bit of an infatuation with. I’ve started instructing part time in Cirruses and I do a lot of mentoring in the Meridian/Malibu/M600 line. I did step aside from Eaglemania a bit over a year ago. They are up to 120 shows/year (!) all over the country. I made a decision that, after 11y of growing this wonderful concept into something with a life of its own, it was time to step aside. I wanted my weekends back to spend time with my family and travel and fly more. My number one sub, Ron Negro, replaced me seamlessly. I’m still very very close with the guys and will sub for Ron when he has a conflict here and there. It’s all good. I toy with the idea of adding to this channel with Mustang content and maybe someday I’ll start up again. We’ll see. Notes like yours definitely provide the encouragement and are much appreciated.

@@lifeinthefl94 Thank you for the detailed explanation. And I truly am relieved. Yes, speaking on behalf of everyone, we would be thrilled to see Mustang, Citation and 727 content! Even if they're not quite 90:1 level of production. And that's great news about the World's Greatest Eagles Tribute Band, their ongoing phenomenal success. Hope they'll come to Miami! With you subbing for Ron!

My husband is a retired AA pilot and also owns a Piper Cherokee 140 and stores the plane at Chester CT, wandering will you be flying into Chester? Great airport. Love your videos. Your flight planning, execution and thought process is familiar to myself but I’m a pilot without a schedule so am more able to wait for better weather most times. Your flying procedures, equipment usage, ATC communications are always spot on. Then add great decision explanation, good story telling combined with video, audio, editing and narration makes your videos top notch. Then add in the good b-roll footage gives you a fantastic edge. Still cannot figure out why everyone is not watching this stuff.

Great videos! You do a fantastic job explaining your flight strategy, fully check weather, and use your equipment well. The explanation of your radar and when not to use XM weather was very well done. I watch many KZbin videos and your is among the very best. The camera setup, B-Roll, audio and editing are perfect. You always tell a complete story that is well unfolded and written. Fantastic narration as well. I cannot figure out why you don’t have 100k-300k subscribers and well over a million view given your content. Please keep it up.

These are really some of the best GA aviation videos I've yet seen on KZbin. The clarity of your audio and video, the planning graphics is top notch. But the content itself is amazing - both the in the air and on the ground. I love how you set out your ADM and it was a true privilage to hear Phil share his experiences of the SR-71. Liked and subscribed!

Not knowing your income or finances, my question is with the cost of fuel burn, charges to keep a plane at lot for a few hours or days. Id assume once you returned back home after a great show are you break even or in the red? Compared to booking a flight ✈️ on any commercial flight back. Having & Flying own plane has benefits, leave when you want, no TSA security or lost luggage.

And, so far as I can tell, neither myself nor anyone else here asked you for your opinion about what constitutes a musician.

Hi there! At FL300, the cabin is at 10,600'. Spending long periods of time at that cabin altitude is fatiguing and my O2 sat is around 85%. I bought an oxygen concentrator which brings my saturation up to 96% and I feel much less tired and less dull after spending time at that altitude. Thanks for reaching out and hope you are enjoying the channel.

Great video - indeed extremely professional flying and video editing (apart from playing great music;). Two questions if I may: 1. would you really have tried to land without rw lights on? Legal or not: the landing and taxi lights are as bad as in nearly any aircraft…no chance for seeing any obstacles on the runway or if you missed it on the go around below any IFR minima… 2. why didn’t you simply reduce the torque to increase your range rather then consider a fuel stop?
@lifeinthefl94
@lifeinthefl94 Жыл бұрын
Markus- great questions and thanks for reaching out. To the first, yes - I would have landed without the rw lights. The Meridian has pretty good landing and taxi lights so that, between the GPS guidance and the synthetic vision, I would hav no trouble getting it into the flare, at which point I am only relying on the aircraft lights anyway. As to reducing torque to extend range, I was actually doing that to some degree here but just didn't include a narrative on it.

Was under contract to buy one and the deal fell through late in the prepurchase inspection due to engine corrosion. Have put the acquisition on hold and will pick it up again at the end of the year. How long have you had the CJ? Do you love it!?! Are you playing drums actively? Once I get the Mustang and start making videos in it I’ll post to CJP.

@@lifeinthefl94 I just found this channel, it appeared on my home page. Haven't played the drums in a while, but bet you can guess who my favorite drummer is based on my tail number. I had a CJ1 for 10 years after the meridian, than decided to get a Premier1A. Loved it however only had it for a year and a half, kept having flap fail issues. The CJ4 is my dream airplane. It is a beast in range, altitude and speed. Going tomorrow for my 61.58. I've never flown a mustang, I've heard it is a great airplane. CJP is a great source of information. I'd recommend not purchasing a Mustang without it having a engine program. I'm sure there are people who would argue against it. Not having to worry about the engines, is a piece of mind.
