That's what happens when you get Two hurricanes just days apart with waterlogged soil. That slide was in the Peeks Creek Community and the slide came from FishHawk Mtn. Happened in the late evening hours. I don't remember the number exactly,, but there were several losses that is still feeling the Lost Friends and Family.❤️

A wonderful musical experience

I tired to get to these falls yesterday. Couldn't find the way down to the river. Very steep, very narrow road (US64) no parking.

I grew up swimming, fishing, camping & just chilling at this lake. We stopped many times here at this marina but it wasn't as nice as it is now. It was just a little souvenir shop and cafe then. My mom fell in love with those mountains. I see why now more than ever. RIP momma. I miss u! When I was 17 a friend and I went there to hang out with the owner of the time's son who was up from Florida. He tried to take us out for a night time boat ride but no one thought to check the fuel first, so we ran out of fuel in the middle of the water. Luckily neighbors stepped out and pulled us back to shore with their boat.lol Memories!

After visiting the boat launch off of 33 and Co-op road in Rockford, TN. I had experienced a strong order of sewage as soon as I exited my vehicle. Upon walking up to the edge of the boat ramp I could visibly see a thick film of gunk laying on the surface of the water and the stench of sewage was overwhelming. After speaking to a gentleman that was bringing in his boat after a day of fishing, we struck up a conversation about how awful the smell was coming from the river water. He proceeded to tell me that the stench was even stronger as he was boating down the river. He told me that the Maryville Wastewater Treatment Plant that is located at 4541 Wheeler Road in Louisville is disposing sewage into the river. So, I strongly suggest that no one go swimming or eat any fish coming from the Little River! Untreated human sewage teems with salmonella, hepatitis, dysentery, cryptosporidium, and many other infectious diseases. And FYI: Germs linger even after the stench of sewage has dispersed. Even healthy adults may never realize that yesterday’s swim caused today’s cough, diarrhea, or ear infection. Young children, their grandparents, and people already weakened by illness are more likely to become seriously ill or die. I've read that as many as 3.5 million Americans get sick each year after swimming, boating, fishing, or otherwise touching water they thought was safe.
