I think your vlog gives a window into Hutterite life that is good for the outside world and Hutterites too. You are respectful of privacy but manage to share a lot. Those buns did look delicious.

If you don’t like potatoes,g 29:17 ood thing that you don’t live on Airport colony with all their potato crops 😂. I had lunch there a couple of weeks ago. A couple of the ladies apologized over having leftovers, they had a funeral that week, but it was all delicious.

Dear Giselle, I was taken aback when I saw there was laundry on a Sunday. That is not a criticism, its just looking at different traditions. When I was young, Sunday observance was widespread. I remember one of my older friends saying how guilty she felt just filling up her copper one Sunday evening ready for the Monday wash. Sundays used to be pretty quiet.

how are your meals planned? Do the people cooking that week come up with what they are going to cook? Just curious!

I am rather new here. Besides being a hardworking young lady, you are a delight to visit. I do hope that you’ve been able to get some rest. 🛋️ My location is the state of Oregon. This grandma 👵🏼 also enjoys the hymns and Bible verses. Thank you for being you! 👩🍳👩🌾

Who plans all the meals and keeps the kitchen so organized etc? Is there one person in charge? And can you eat as much as you would like or are there portions? And what happens if you feel sick or feel awful (can you call in sick)? And if so, do you feel like you always love at work and are never free to just do what you want. Meaning, not always working and working? You work SO hard!!!!!

She has said before there is a head cook that orders the food and uses things up that are going to go bad. If you are sick someone will take over for you, or you might be called on if someone else is sick. I think in a previous vlog she helped with the school because someone else was sick. If they are cooking something complicated the ladies will come in to help, like with the kebabs and stromboli.

I think many times someone doesn't like a certain veggie , is because of the way it's been prepared. I used to only like raw spinach, like in a spinach salad, but at a restaurant once, I had it cooked, and aksed the server to ask the cook how they prepared it. It was so delicious ! All they did was sautee it in olive oil salt and pepper and a little garlic. Now we eat it often in our home. 🥰👻🎃🍃🍂🍁
