I was so blessed as a child to have clothes & jackets made for me by the Hutterites. My uncle used to be the teacher on the colony as well as my aunty who was good friends. My aunt has since past away, years ago. I will always have fond memories 🥰👍

I have lived in Winnipeg all my life except for 7 years in Brandon and am very familiar with Hudderite life and its values. I was my first visit to your site which I have subscribed to and I was amazed that your colony accepted the values of technology to the point that you can video your life and what it brings to people. Hi Giselle! In regards to you wondering what kind of plant was in Walmart and if your home conditions would be suitable for it: there is an app called “picture this”, which IDs plants by scanning a pic of their leaves, flowers, bark, etc. it computes the info, and then gives a full stat rundown on the plant- it’s name, ideal conditions, etc. very handy! I really do admire the Hutterite work ethic. I would love to be a Hutterite. And German is not hard to learn. I took two years in high school. It's actually easier than Spanish in my opinion. Glad you enjoyed your time out today. I spent time with my mom today. We saw "The Forge" today, it's a Christian movie. Same producers as "War Room". Did I tell you I have German heritage. My mom's maiden name is very German.

I’m sure this may have been mentioned before, but how are the funds distributed for days like this? Does the colony pay for certain aspects with a flat allotment budget, like the dress fabric and bowling. Or, do you need to save an allowance amount for the food and additional shipping? I thought Hutterites made their own soaps? Is this not true? I ask because I have been making soap for over 12 years (I think closer to 14!), and I enjoy it. I don’t know if your colony does make soap, but if it does, is it more of a utilitarian kind of bar? Are you allowed to scent and color it?
