It's OK mate your a bit stiff try relax more but still have power
@dragontaokungfu
@dragontaokungfu 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment, but I'm actually completely relaxed, just the structure you can see may be what you are mistaking for stiffness. In our lineage we remain completely released, but shouldn't be floppy (we use internal structure). This is different for some other methods, which is not a problem 👍

One of the best explanation videos I've seen in a long time...I seem to be naturally good at the tansau-gaunsau in a way that sends people flying away...but when people attempt it they are un able to maintain protection and aim their energy to the side and not affecting my balance...ya mentioned somthing similar in your video...

Thank you, and yes it is a hard one for people to get. We use an intention to connect to their centre of mass, and therefore create a physical result 👍

I thought he was doing siu nim ttau. Not only from the energy he uses, but the punches he uses near the beginning is not chum kiu.
@dragontaokungfu
@dragontaokungfu 5 ай бұрын
The way we perform Chum Kiu in our lineage (Chu Shong Tin) is an extension of our Siu Nim Tao state (as we are expanding on our internals) and learning how to control our body as a single unit while adding additional movement and multi-vectors. This may be different to other lineages, so I understand your comment 😎👍 Therefore the punches at the start of our forms are the same, which may be different to what you do (and that is perfectly understandable).

Everyone seems to have diffences in the way this is performed. Very interesting.
@dragontaokungfu

Yes most lineages have slight variations (or even large ones) and it depends on the Wing Chun state they are trying to achieve. For us there is an internal state we are trying to create and infusing it into our movements. This can make our form look slightly different to others. Which I also agree is very interesting. 👍

From my basic understanding of the Wing Chun Swords, seems to have some good stuff. The only think I don’t like is pointing your blades inward toward yourself. That’s dangerous. Maybe you can elaborate.

I think this is excellent training. Wing chun is all about staying outside reach or step in and give the opponent not oppertunity. A good timing training is essential.
