Huh? I'm pretty sure the Memory of Alessa dismount animation is used though? If you run far away from her and then come back, she'll be sitting in one of the horses. The looking up/down/left/right animations are just blended by different weights to make Heather look at points of interest during gameplay.

I know two funny trivias that I actually never heard to people in talk about: 1) There are two areas in the game that for some reason it spawn 3 really hard to beat Air Screamers which I don't know if is a glitch or was intended to be as a minor optional skippable boss fight or a simple trap, the first one is on the bridge area near Hell Station (3:18 part for a clear reference) and the second one in the outside of the Antique Shop after the Hospital events (when you need to go over there and hear that weird noise/music in the background). 2) This is actually a funny one, in the Nowhere area when you see the sad scene of Lisa and you run away of her, that scene is the only scene in the ENTIRE game that you can see someone opening and closing a door in the game. Probably the reason that we never saw the characters open and closing doors in the game cut-scenes (because everytime that happen the scene changed and you hear the open/close sound effect) is for avoid in animate the movements and reduce costs or work in development. Team Silent was kind clever in that.

In midwich elementary there is a list of teachers by the reception. The names on the list are the band members of the 80/90/00s band Sonic Youth (my favourite band ever)

Other missed easter eggs: Metropol theater: same name as the cinema in Lamberto Bava's Demons (1985) . Not confirmed: Lisa: probably inspired by the undead blonde nurse -also named Lisa- from Dead and Buried (1980) written by Dan O' Bannon .She also treated a burned pacient. One character in that film had a twist ending very similar to SH Lisa .

I'll like to add: The Shining (1980) posters scattered around town. News papers with the tagline "Bill Skins Fifth". This is reference to the movie Silence of the Lambs (1991). Alessa Gillespie is modeled after the medium Florence Tanner (played by Pamela Franklin) from the movie The Legend of the Hell House (1973) Nurse Lisa Garland is modeled after Nurse Amy Keating (played by Tracy Thorne) from the movie The Exorcist III (1990). Also her name is an amalgam of 2 actresses: Judy Garland & her daughter, Liza Minnelli. In 1 of the rooms in Nowhere are boxes marked "Psychick TV" (PTV). PTV is a hallucinogen drug made from White Claudia. It was named after a Psychic TV, a British experimental band. Indian Runner store in Resort Area is named after the movie The Indian Runner (1991).

I have a few more, like the movie theater being called Metropol, like in the movie Demons. It even has the same font. There's also the teachers list in school, the teachers are named after the Sonic Youth members. There are references to Alice in Wonderland, mostly in puzzle pieces. Lisa's outfit being inspired by the nurse in The Exorcist 3 in "that one scene". I think there are more but that's all I can remember right now. Been playing this game since '99, so I'm too old to remember too much 🤣

Alone in the dark a new nightmare was a great game but my gawd that woman was annoying.

***Spoiler Alert*** Hearing all the weapons that Harry has in his arsenal is crazy but its also underwhelming how he literally got kill off-screened in SH3. i know it was the greater narrative for Heather but I like to think that Harry just got too old to fight or knew that his time was coming. Or if we go by Sh3 ufo ending, he just sided with the Aliens and learned martial arts.

There is no way i just found out there is katana in the game. Watched so many videos and finished the game couple times yet I have never even known that

One of the best PS1 horror games I've ever played: Echo Night. A puzzle exploration FPS from FromSoftWare, renowned for its mastery of atmosphere and environmental storytelling. A rather casual and short title, but with impressive graphics and interactivity for the PS1. You sail around on a ghost ship, in a melancholy atmosphere and in various “pocket dimensions”-/memories. Somewhere between Shenmue and Alien Isolation in terms of gameplay. Its second opus, for PS2, is said to take place on the Moon.

Love these series.

I imagine that there's no way I'd have the patience to play through D these days. Even though the slow moving pace kind of added to the uneasy feeling I remember when playing it as a kid, I think my attention span circuits have sadly been fried since then.
