I learnt a dam harsh lesson knowing what a capacitor does, when placing my hands in a washing machine while i forgot to unplug it from the wall. My one hand was touching the body of the machine my other hand for some reason thought i would check them connections on that cylinder looking object, Then wallop I could not let go my body was jerking for about 20 seconds then I was able to release,and that was just a low capacitor voltage regulator, I would not survive if It was a microwave capacitor or even the transformer if I was stupid enough to not discharge the capacitor first.,eve engineers have died by not following the discharge rules be for probing. I have a Question that I can`t find info on , On the transformers label you will have the word ` Class 200 or class 220 or 250 do you know what this means?
