Great video! Unfortunately most of us don't have those tools and wood machines to make a tortilla press. It's more convenient to buy a tortilla press

From what I see here, I'm missing a critical number of parts, and for this reason, I've not used my boot. I don't know about 'super cool' because whenever I need to set the zero point, the boot has to come off. If anyone knows a better way please let me know.

This dustboot was for the original bluey, I haven’t made one in about 4 years. Front half of the dustboot comes off to set zero, personally I just use a shim and the leave the dustboot in place

Just built my frame, this weekend. Quite happy with it, to be fair. 😁 My frame is the same height as yours but the internal frame is 1m x 1m, so my lower beam sits higher. Just need to build a sturdy base for it, like yours, and wall protections at the top rear of the frame. Then, I'm good to go!

So I am creating a packaging station from old Armoire. I plan on mounting a rod for each Kraft paper and bubble wrap roll. I have sketched out the rod mounts for the rolls but any idea on how I can make tension arms like on this vintage one in video for them?

Thanks for this Joe As a total beginner to this.. What do you recommend for the actual vac part of this? What is the bang for buck option to go alongside this .a Ryobi style shop vac? Something else? Thanks!
@JoesWorkbench2 жыл бұрын
Yes, a shopvac will capture most of the dust and really cut down on the airborne stuff you don’t want to breath. You can use a woodworking type dust collector for even better performance but the trade off is visibility as the hose is much bigger. Keep the hose as short as possible to reduce friction/suction loss. I use a festool shopvac, I am not familiar with the ryobi range. You’ll find your shopvac is one of your most use tools, get the best one you can afford. Routing/sanding/finishing/cnc and cleanup all make use of a shopvac. It’s not just for the cnc. 👍🏻
