I really disagree about "Manhattan Project." I don't think it's commenting on Kitty. What you described here really isn't part of the film at all. I think LG just really liked it because it evokes a perfect mix of sadness and hope. Hope that they can beat the race against time to build a nuclear weapon, and sadness in the context of what was happening behind closed doors in German camps, and also sadness for the fact that this beautiful field of science was being used for a super weapon. Otherwise excellent video so far, I'm 30 minutes in.

Such a great track created here by Ashton. As a published pianist/orchestral composer I much admire this. My own organ/orchestral/piano music has elements of this idiom.
