I've used this exact bait a few times and could never produce a catch. Idk but it worked for y'all which is good.

You should try both... Jello and Kool aid... I've noticed the koolaid gives it the color... Stains it quicker than Jello... Both work as you know... I'm using Grape tonight... Combined Kool Aid for color and Jello for the Ammino Acids so we will see

Just a suggestion but I would invest in a Baitfeeder reel since you guys use open face... for 50 bucks you won't have to worry about that happening or even loosening your drag... Just an fyi... I run 2 of them and don't have to worry about that happening anymore... It's amazing, I should have bought them awhile ago

Will this work in cold water? We're around 45 degrees water temp here and the cats have lockjaw. Maybe this will get them snapping??

It's the sweetness of the jello I use sweet corn and honey in my carp bait and catch cat fish all the time!!

I've used Cut bait and chicken liver my whole life but recently started using jello hot dogs but going to try some jello chicken tomorrow here in south TX

Thank you for sharing, @KirkpatrickOutdoors. I'm going fishing for Blue & Channel Catfish this weekend. I'm going to use chicken chunks and hotdogs cut in 1/3, with chicken liver and garlic salt... I'm going to use Jello, because it contain Anino Acic acid. (SALMONELLA) Make sure you wash your hands after handling raw chicken. I might try to target for some Red Drum Fish on shrimp at our lakes in San Antonio, TX! 🐟🎣
