That's so annoying, and bots are all to common these days. I haven't purchased Accurscale products so far, but in my opinion it was just a matter of time as they got more models, larger numbers, maybe different overseas manufacturers, that they would find themselves with the sort of problems Hornby, Dapol, Hattons, Heljan, et al have encountered all too frequently. Your right of course, and I appreciate your review, because if I do look at Accurascale for a new or used model I will read all the reviews I can before I commit. Good luck with your model, and thanks again for your honest and balanced video. ...Drew PS I believe Hornby, and Dapol do still provide a 'real' person you can speak too if you have a problem?

Hi Drew, Yeh there are some companies out there that have real customer service where you can talk to a person. Thank goodness. I’ve actually delayed some reviews of comparative models due to conflict while this warranty claim was being processed. Possibly a naive decision, but I felt it was a correct decision at the time. As mentioned it’s now a project file to engineer a bracket for a repair that can be shared with the community. Accurascale are not taking this path… Merry Christmas 🎄 MODELTRAINZZ

One other note) Manufacturers of all types will have problems with their product. It’s a fact of life. I worked in this sector in my career. It’s how you deal with them is how customers remember you and rate you and ultimately give customer loyalty. I wrote a comment regarding the same issues U have had on Facebook post only to have replies directly from the accurascale general manager from his own personal account who tried to play down the motor issues and focused on the issues I had with the postage. My issue with the postage is if a tracking number is issued claims to be royal mail 48hr delivery then once the tracking number issued then it should be delivered and on the way not wait two weeks before a knock on the door from the postman with my parcel. Seems they want our money but like every other company out there don't give a crap about the customer and how the customers feel.
@MODELTRAINZZ10 күн бұрын
Hi Sodor, Thanks for your message. I think how it works with shipping is as follows: Just a theory, my opinion: When it’s being processed in China they allocated a Royal Mail Tracking Number. So once it leaves U.K Customs, it’s then transferred over to Royal Mail for delivery. Why this happens is your guess. I think it’s possibly for taxation reasons. I really hope your model is ok and seated. Best of luck there. Merry Christmas MODELTRAINZZ

I don't buy Accurascale down to two bad experiences with their products. I brought some coal wagons very detailed they fell apart due to lack of glue in the production process. Another was a Irish diesel locomotive that constantly derailed back it went for a refund. Accurascale might make nice models but the quality is lacking another manufacturer to avoid is KR Models they are even worse.
@Aerospacesmith11 күн бұрын
Completely agree, this design is a lemon. The model is beautiful, but the motor mount is the dumbest design. I ordered 3 of these Barclays and 1 of them arrived with the motor unseated. The plastic prongs that hold it in are deformed and will not hold it. One of the Barclays that arrived working stopped after a few weeks as its motor had came disconnected while running like yours just did. I ended up opening all 3 and used JB Plastic Weld to permanently fuse the motor mounts. Very disappointing, but hopefully Accurascale takes some type of accountability with future runs.

There's a few people who want silly money for things, but they stay for sale. For years. I recently bouught a Lima Class 60 and the seller was fantastic. Said he'd sent me the wrong item of three and it had a missing coupling, so he went the extra mile to resolve the issue. Ex post office repainted white P35NUK - easily the worst van I've ever driven, nothing else even comes close to how bad it was to drive. No matter how you loaded it, it always felt like the front wheels were only just touching the ground and the front end drifted all over the place. Details of the model seen in the British Leyland advert from 1976: Born Anne Lloyd on New Year's Day 1948 in Glasgow, she grew up from the age of three weeks old in West Bromwich in Sandwell and attended West Bromwich Technical High School. After leaving school she worked for the travel agency run by her father, Lewis Lloyd, before auditioning successfully for the Golden Shot where she made her debut, aged 21, on 12 January 1969. Aston said, "100 girls were interviewed and the number was reduced to seven for the final audition and then I was chosen". This was her first live show which was recorded in black and white and broadcast on Sunday afternoons at 5pm. Her surname was changed, as directed by the actors' union Equity, from Lloyd to Aston to avoid confusion with an actress who had the same name at the time. It was chosen in reference to Aston, Birmingham, the location of the studios where the Golden Shot was produced. On the show she gave the appearance of struggling to cope with the simple arithmetic needed to calculate the contestants' scores - this was later perceived as stereotyping but, in fact, she admitted she found that part of the job difficult.[citation needed] At its peak the show was being watched by 16 million viewers and Aston was receiving over 100 fan mail letters every week. She has made many personal appearances and became a comic-book character nicknamed "The Hostess with the Mostess". She currently resides in Ringwood on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, where she has lived for over 30 years. Anne is 76 years old.
