Want to do this as an accompaniment to a Moroccan Lamb shank tagine. How many people would your quantities serve?? I'll probably tone down the herbs, spices and the preserved lemons, I just want a hint of lemon, enough flavour in the lamb!!😁🇬🇧

Is it supposed to be simmering for steeping? So it was simmering for 30 minutes or turned off sitting for 30 minutes?

If using frozen beans, would it be necessary to reheat in boiling water first? Or.. could I just let them thaw out before adding them to the skillet?

Leave them for at least 3 months before you start using them. They only get better, the longer they sit.

I made the best mac and cheese for lunch today and it was the best mac and cheese I’ve ever made & tasted at home. Just like you I used a roux to thicken the sauce and used cream in it. But I didn’t bake it and the 2 cheeses I used are Cabot extra sharp white Vermont cheddar & cream cheese. I seasoned the sauce with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, & hot sauce.

Last night made some baked mac & cheese with a roux based cheese sauce. But for the cheese I used 4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese from Sargento and a bit of cream cheese. And for the topping I used crackers I crushed up.

If you do 2:1 sugar to water it will keep unrefrigerated for up to 6 months. Just use half as much as you would with 1:1.

Lemons from the store usually have a waxy skin, applied for shipping protection. A hot water wash will remove the wax. The flavors in the jar can’t pass through the skin if it’s coated with wax..
