Very primitive... I don't think any measurement is consistent. Also the material is contaminated with dirt, grease etc. Cleaning is a general problem. The work environment is another big issue. Starting from the combining of the two pieces to surface preparation is the worst I have ever known...

Actually this is one of the most oldest factory of manufacturing car hoods. Here most of the work is done by men instead of machines and robots. However, ensuring a consistent measurements and maintaining a clean work environment are indeed important challenges in mechanical work. But after all these issues one can observe and appreciate the hard work and skills of these people.
