Love this sonata - a lot of it is not too difficult (in terms of just playing the notes) and it's full of character. While Moravec's technique is impressive, I find some of his tempi too fast - especially the Trio and the Rondo. That last section was a blur (it's marked quasi Presto. not Prestissimo).

That third movement is absolutely FLYING yet every single note is clear and played with intention. Has to be one of my favourite performances of this piece ever, probably how I'd play it

Yikes those time signature changes must be a real challenge to read and play! Lovely music.

The Second pice of the book II, in my opinión, is the most complex of the set.

What's the difference between virtuoso sheet music robots and REAL musicians who can pjay anything by ear and ad-lib? Mind you, there are sheet music virtuosos who can play anything by ear AND ad-lib too, which makes them to be REAL musicians.

23:25 The coda? That's not especially difficult, with good fingering. You should give this sonata a try, that's a great one.

For me, Images is the absolute essence of Debussy. If someone asked "what is Debussy like?" I'd play them Images. It is all things Debussy concentrated into half an hour of beauty.

Debussy is one of the best composers that have ever lived, way better than Scriabin! But I think Schoenberg is even better, atonal music is life 🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥

This is what Debussy should sound like. Moravec's radiant tone and profound feel for color, and the mysterious atmosphere of Debussy are glorious! I only wish he had recorded more Ravel. His recording of his Sonatine is stunning.
