Out of curiousity: Almost two years later, how is this holding up? Any issues with the battery? or the replacement fuse? I need a new battery for my Lexus RX330 and I was surprised when the autoparts stores offer AGM batteries as a drop-in replacement. So I was doing research and found the issues with the charging voltage. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for posting this video. Suggestion... Don't move the camera so much/fast. Pan slowly.

I would suggest that you sand the truck down with some 1000 grit and then apply clear coat on top of the paint. You might be able to sand out some if not all of the orange peel that way and the clear will look much better after the sanding. Dauntless has some very good advice and you should consider it and the respirator is a must when you are painting.

I see how old this video is, but looks great. I have one on my Kia Soul, but my cross bars sit up higher. I didn't like how high the basket sits, so I have the crossbars going through the basket to where the top rack rests on the crossbars. My Kia was not even equipped with any kind of roof rails so I had to install rails, crossbars, and the basket. I also used the black heavy duty zip ties from HF for extra security. Not even noticeable. Mine sits over my sunroof with clearance to open it, but I never open it anyway. It does add some highway noise, but my car has always been loud anyway. Turn up the radio. Lol.

You could with a little work, salvage that paint and make it slick. Wet sand and polish with a good polisher and It will make that paint look great!

Companies make a matte black vinyl hood decal for this truck. U should get it cuz it will cover some of the faded paint, & it will just look badass!

People do all that work preparing their vehicles for painting . Why wouldn't you spend the extra money and buy a gallon of automotive single stage? Rustoleum paint is not automotive paint. It will never hold up to the elements like automotive paint.
