I have a 30mm slab. How long should my anchor bolt be? Can I use a wall plug and screw as well as an alternative?

do dishwashers have a service gap. the electrics are ran behind the appliance in 16mm deep trunking. or will cables need to be chased in the wall?

Just ordered the saw from Menards here in the US. The extra long track (110 inches total) is out of stock everywhere including the Evolution website. I got lucky and found one aftermarket site that has it in stock. They’re not going to sell many saws unless they offer a full-length track.

Can I use this to center punch a deep broken bolt to extract it ?? The way the bolt broke made a cone shape and it’s impossible to center punch because it slips to the side

Fantastic video, used it when we thought we'd have to take the whole tap out! Worked a treat, the cold one was intermittent. Just the hot tap refused now 😂. Have to give it some proper elbow greese

I have a hollow metal door that has a barrel bolt on it to keep it closed (back of my garage) on the top in to the door frame. I can't keep the screws from pulling out and stripping the hole that holds the bolt mechanism. Thought I needed anchors so tried drywall anchors but because of the little spikes on the anchors that won't grab into the metal, they just spin and spin. Maybe this tool will work with the right kind of anchors. I don't know what kind of anchors would work on a hollow metal door. Help?

This broke after 2nd use. Not sure what the issue is with the ratchet, cant see any visible damage. Bought it off Amazon so it might be a fake.

Hello, can I ask, if your base module width is 600, what is the width of the door? (I usually leave the door 4 mm narrower than the base module.)

You have just saved me hours of scraping a grove around a headlight on my truck. Someone had tried to reattach the headlight cover with silicone! After getting that cleaned out I will be using Flex Glue to put it back on!

So for dry cleaning you need to leave the foam on as well as the bag? Ive just bought one of these vacuums but it feels like its getting warm just wondered if i was using the filters correctly?
@ultimatehandyman6 күн бұрын
You need to foam and the filter, but the bag is optional. It might be getting warm due to the ambient air temperature, although that is not normally a problem where I live 😉

Youre supposed to use a setting tool to set these first, not screw them in mate

If the wall is skimmed, you don’t need the setting tool 😉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ7TlJioZbatjZo&t

Great video. Just did mine today after watching your tutorial, which was really easy to understand and took the worry away from getting it wrong. All in all I'm happy, no leaking gutter and water drains away nicely with no standing or pooling water. I added my brackets every 50cm which I know is a bit of an over kill, but I ordered too many and they'd just be lying around eventually getting binned so just put them to good use. Thank you and keep up the good work.

What's the point of hearing if you're going to wait for it to cool back down? Makes no sense and would be a waste of time. Just use a MIG welder to build up the bolt until it's protruding then use vise grips to back it out. If needed once protruding lay a loose nut over the build up and weld it to it then use a wrench to back it out. I use this technique all the time and it never fails. 👍
@ultimatehandyman8 күн бұрын
The heat makes the metal expand, which can break the bond between the two pieces of metal. Never try to remove a hot bolt, the heat softens the steel and can make is break easily 😉

Are you using water or oil to cool the bit? What’s the benefit of one over the other? I’ve always just used WD40 in between drilling.
