Hey there, I have a question, I recognized that you always pronounce ה with "a" not "ha" when the ה at the beginning and means "the". Like "השעה" ashsha'a, and "היום" " ayom. Am I right? Is this way colloquial? , i found this more easier in pronunciation and I would really like to dedicate my speaking to be this way also.
@PieceofHebrew2 күн бұрын
The correct way is "Ha", but many pronounce "a".

9:04 yeah, I guess that draining the river supplying the Dead Sea with water isn’t helping. The water from the river is diverted and used for farming etc to grow things in the desert 🌵

3:12 yeah, I have visited the Dead Sea. I could sit in the water floating and simultaneously reading a newspaper… It’s surreal. I can assure you that getting that salty water in your yes isn’t a hit! Thank goodness for freshwater showers on the beach!

Todah rabah for the video! Those buckwheat crepes look GOOD! It reminds me how much I love them the Breton way (galette-saucisse): cook/grill a sausage of your choice (I love beef or goat's meat), top up with spicy mustard and wrap the meat in the pancake (use two pancakes if they are on the smaller side).

Doron. Thanks so much. I am an intermediate Hebrew speaker. I need to get into a class or something where I can converse in and speak Hebrew. What do you suggest? I need interaction with other Hebrew speakers. You and Elsa are great teachers. I enjoy your videos tremendously.
@PieceofHebrew5 күн бұрын
Hi there! Thanks for your kind words! Here are a few options for improving your Hebrew speaking skills: 1. **Language exchange**: Look for a language partner who speaks Hebrew and is learning your native language. You can have conversations and correct each other. 2. **Join a Hebrew-speaking group**: Try local community centers or online platforms like Meetup for Hebrew conversation groups. 3. **Online tutoring**: Consider platforms like italki, where you can have one-on-one lessons with native Hebrew speakers. 4. **Immersion**: If possible, spend time in an environment where Hebrew is spoken daily (like Israel or a local Hebrew-speaking community). Good luck!

thank you for the work you both put in the channel! timestamp 9:02 what is the difference between לנצל and להשתמש?
@PieceofHebrew5 күн бұрын
לנצל: This verb is often used in contexts where you're "taking advantage" of something, sometimes with a sense of making the most of an opportunity or resource. It can also have a negative connotation, like taking advantage of someone in a manipulative way. Example: "היא ניצלה את הזמן בצורה טובה" (She made good use of her time). להשתמש: This verb simply means "to use" and is more neutral. It refers to utilizing something for a purpose, like an object or a tool. Example: "אני משתמש בטלפון שלי כל יום" (I use my phone every day).

Might try speaking a little slower you’re failing to get the point across
@Adam-eo9vp11 күн бұрын
I actually understand a lot of words now, it feels great! Before I struggled to understand what you said. I had an idea that maybe it would help if you highlight the words in the subtitles when they are being said, would help a lot but would be a lot of work so understandable if you don't add it. Just a thought. 😊
