Victor to Felix was just everything. Felix reaction is the best reaction you can wish for. I really love to coming out scene from Heartstopper! Nick to his mother was just amazing! And Nick to Imogen was great as well. 🫶

Forever gallavich. Especially once they’re outside being body slammed onto the cars by the cops….Noel improvised a lot in that scene & it made it SO more amazing/amusing. Just the way he finally unloads everything onto his dad….. Guess what we’ve been doing daddy? >>dry humps the car<< Perfect way to slam all of that back onto Terry.

Cyrus wasn’t actually the first gay character to come out 😅 In s2e3 of a disney channel show called The Lodge, a character named Josh told his best friend he didn’t like girls. This episode released on June 23, 2017. S2e1 of Andi Mack, where cyrus comes out to buffy, released on October 27, 2017.

What I believe is that, for LGBTQ growth girls and women's are the main reason because they love the gay movie and boy love series a lot and support the series and movies.

I love this list, though I might replace Marcus and Lionel with Patrick and Ivan from Elite. My favorite couple all time has to be Will and Sonny from DOOL.

A couple of honorable mentions: Being 17, Hidden Kisses, Wildhood, Mario and Beyto. Oh there are so many others too but the list in this video is respectable.

Dream boy is one of the most UNFAIR endings, the protagonist desserved such a good life and for him to end up like that… abused, used, raped and killed …. just such a raging sad but mostly UNFAIR ending….

My favorite coming out scene was Alec in Shadowhunters. It was what finally broke through the way I was raised (very religious, conservative, Christian, "the gays are going to hell") and it was another stepping stone to me fully deconstructing from the church.

OMG! Thank you thank you! I used to run a Gay Movie Club and TBH 8 out of 10 Gay movies are just crap! Not sure it's because of lack of funding. But the 2 good ones will blow you away, make you laugh and cry and have you cheering at the end!!! It's been many years since the club and now I'm starting to play the best of the lot for my best friend who wasn't able to attend the club meetings. One of the complaints was they wanted more movies with happy endings and you're right there's not a lot! Sadly but I've seen and own all the movies on your list except The Thing about Harry. Never heard of it never seen it. I went looking for it in Amazon and TLA but no luck. Thanks for this great list now I can play these movies for my friends instead of sorting though the 100s of movie trying to remember the ones with a Happy Ending!!!!

I love how to get away with murders Oliver because he has successfully tricked people into thinking he’s a good guy. He’s the freaking Jerry of the LGBT world. His superpower is to get caught an inspired pity.

Marlene Dietrich's name would more accurately be pronounced, "Mar-LAY-neh DEE-trick". As for "Maedchen In Uniform", the closest I'm going to get to THAT is 'MEDD-ken'. So much for my German tutoring!
@davidburbage33482 ай бұрын
Not to be overly picky; but I have a (somewhat picky) point of view that, if one is pontificating on a subject, one should take care to avoid obvious mispronunciations, among other things; they can do damage to one's credibility. I think a more accurate pronunciation of "Salome' would be somewhat Germanic; hence, 'ZAHL-o-may'; since it is based on the Richard Strauss opera. A minor point, true; but I like to show a little respect for correct pronunciations of non-English titles, words, etc. They certainly have as much validity as works in English. That said, thanks for your presentation! Dissemination of our history and our cultural existence and contributions are very valuable in validating our heritage.

Please don't forget Parting Glances, a 1986 romantic comedy with an early performance by Steve Buscemi, set in - and made in - the heart of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It was mind-blowing at the time with its deadly backdrop and surprisingly uplifting tone.

So many of these are teen / coming of age. 'Bros' was at least one that had some older characters. But sadly ... very little mainstream gay in 2024.

Coral Island is great, is very Queer, you can be male, female or non binary, has lots of characters you can date and I think all of them are playersexual so you can date all of them (the single ones) also the characters are all great to look at and there's lots of diversity when it comer to skin tones
Boy Erased. Based on a true story is a brilliant movie.

Screwball comedies in the 30s and 40s were a good way for them to get around the hays code with use of innuendos. I think bringing up baby 1938 is a good example of this. Its said to have the first use of the word 'gay' in the way that we understand it today and Cary Grant makes reference to the gay clubbing scene in New York. It wasn't supposed to be taken seriously, but if you knew, you knew
