Is That water colur like that all the time? Chocolate Fish... I suppose the trout are chasing the vibrations in that water as visibility is minimal.. Nice big Brownie, well done
@blairhuttonfishing3 ай бұрын
Nah it’s not like that all the time. They are normally in a clear stream which feeds into here so they go in and out of the clear water. That stay in the dirty water as it’s nice and cool being deeper so I’m assuming they’re just doing their best to survive. Cheers

Good stuff Blair. I was wondering at the start whether you had some shelter/refuge for the fish... cormorants always seemed to clean up all the fish from dams back home when there wasn't enough shelter... didn't take them long either! Cheers
@blairhuttonfishing4 ай бұрын
I’m pretty lucky (I think) with the dam being either muddy or dark tannin stained water so it’s hard for birds to find the fish. This doesn’t mean they won’t but less likely and with the structure it gives them somewhere to congregate. There are random sticks that fall in and the reeds when the water is high for them to hide in as well
@outdooraussie63554 ай бұрын
Subbed mate. Great work. Recent mover to the West... just gotta get a boat! 😂. Love to nail one that size on a fly!
