Haha I’ve put it through a lot like holding the spool and lifting big reddies up and hasn’t let me down. I love it for anything freshwater and now is my go to but yeah it’s a very light rod haha

Cool vid but don't think you need the survival element to be honest. I have hooked a brown at night but that's about it. I have read that browns actively hunt at night compared to rainbows. Perch definitely go to bed I reckon! Have seen them motionless on the bottom when marroning.
