The Auburn-Florida games from 93-95 were epic shootouts! Nix, Sanders, Beasley, Davis...Wuerffel, Doering, Jackson, Taylor... I had just started getting into college football as a junior higher at this time. Great memories!

Count me in. I’ve been here since 99 and as cheesy as it sounds, there’s been a little void in my life since Splender and Headrush both stopped. Waymon became one of my favorite songwriters and I’ve never gotten over his absence. He’s a successful film producer now and I’m happy for him. I just wish he kept pursuing music because so many people appreciated his unique talent. Apparently Splender came close to putting out another album in 2009 but it fell through just like the Headrush campaign. We can still hope! God bless!

I was at the game the week after and we went from knocking off Fla one week to damn near blowing a 4th qtr double digit lead to a Louisiana directional school the next. That was a weird year.

That ref who made the phantom hold call was larry leatherwood. He was one of several from that era that were clearly compromised.

Spurrier was such a scumbag. Guy even left South Carolina mid season. Probably didn’t want to miss the Fall golf season.

That was the year they soaked the field down, so Ronnie and Cadillac couldn’t run. They claimed to have put a tarp over it. They didn’t mention the hose pipe underneath the tarp. Still won, though.

In 2015, Alabama players kept slipping in Jordan Hare. There was an article later about how the field was somehow slippery wet even though it hadn’t rained that week. The article insinuated the AU staff had generously watered the field the not long before the game. Strangely enough, Auburn had longer spikes on their cleats than normal. At halftime, Alabama changed into their cleats with longer spikes. What was a close game suddenly became fairly easy for Bama. As for this 2004 slick field….I see a lot of rain during the game….I wonder if that had anything to do with the wet field.
