I agree with your theory and how the titles should be broken down by different years.

I watched practically all those shows and special episodes except for the robot girl show. I don’t know how I missed that one. Never even heard of it until now.

I watched the hunting episode of Silver Spoons as a 12 year old redneck and thought Ricky was a wuss. Plus all the hunting scenes were super unrealistic. Shows the difference in experiences.

Great video, truly brought back some good memories. One of my favorites growing up was Square One Television. ✌🏻

I am 54 and I was the poster child for this generation. I was a walking TV Guide and proud of it! I had a first gen Atari and one of the first home computers called a TRS80 (now known as trash 80) and technology clicked with us! I am grateful I was a gen X and so miss those 80s.

You did a great job pulling this video together! Editing was on point. You knew exactly when to narrate while having the captions run in the background as well as when to play the show. I enjoyed snippets of the theme songs. Your summaries of the plots were perfect! Great job!

Yet all the DVD sets I've seen so far make no such "very special episode" distinction. It's just listed with the others as if it's a plain ol' regular episode.

I like the part where the creator did nothing but splice some shit together and barfed it out into the world. Well damn done......

Automan was one of my favorite shows, but it was so short lived. As was Greatest American Hero. Oh and the Wizard, with the little person who was a tinkerer

Bsck when Too Close for Comfort was filmed the idea of a male being sexually assaulted was rarely talked about and the reaction that the audience gave was pretty much the reaction that was received when it was reported. Also, I can remember if this was in the series but Jm "i'd like to buy an I please" J. Bu;llock was very gay.

Some nice deep cuts here. I’m not sure if they all made their way into Canada but I certainly remember most of them.

I wasn't allowed to watch most of these shows. My dad had control of the TV but Sylvia should not have been viewed by a kid. It still haunts me

You say early on in the video that no one from before or after "Gen X" will know these shows. However, I remember every one of the programs you showcased...and I'm a Baby Boomer.

I watched the Young and the Restless and the Bold and the Beautiful and I don't remember any of those types of storylines going on. My mom was also into Guiding Light and As the World Turns, but I did not get into those. 2 was enough for me lol

Penny's mother was played by Chip Fields, Kim Fields (Tootie) is her daughter. You totally missed the opportunity to inform viewers about Chip! She's so talented and her other daughter Alexis was on Sister Sister..❤❤❤❤ EXTREMELY talented family!!!❤❤❤❤

I had almost scrubbed the memory of Kimberley being kidnapped from my memory. That episode was straight out of a horror movie! Scary and scarring. But on the bright side, I never hitchhiked. Thanks, Diff'rent Strokes. I think.

I'm a proud Gen X, and if I could be born again, I'd pick that same day in 1969 to do it all over. I didn’t have much parental supervision-my parents were either working or busy with their own stuff. Somehow, I managed to get through school and stay out of trouble, maybe because there was still some pride and dignity in the mix, or just plain common sense. But let me tell you, I had the time of my life-I had so much fun it’s unbelievable. I made it through everything life threw at me, and now, looking back, I’m proud to be part of such an incredible generation.
