I have a 2024 and the fake stock Falken 01 Tires are total junk, not snow rated. I had to replace them with real Falken Wildpeaks, that are severe snow rated. Shame on Toyota for putting these junk OEM tires on this car.

No flat tire, I’m not sure what the sound was.

Is it just me or was there a repeating thumping sound that sounded like a flat tire when you put down the roof and drove in sport plus?

Great review! I have one in my garage 2015 with performance package (carbon/TVD) 20 K miles - its my summer car. Coming back to the car...........most of the talk is about it being overweight or few tenth of a second slower than the european competition, however unless you track which most of us who own this car dont you will not feel or appreciate those (weight and speed) differences in daily driving. Instead in my humble opinion most of the talk should be around its rewarding daily driving experience, reliability, ease of maintanence and lexus service experience. For unreliable, punishing daily ride and pricier option but with which comes with a lot of bragging rights regarding being faster than this for a few tenths of a second or lighter in weight PLEASE buy BMW M4 or C 63. No hate replies PLEASE!

All Jeeps is the best for today's world The Hornet is ugly and more foreign looking and think they can compete against the best Dodge cars like calendars and Chargers and a Trailhawk and trackhawk not even close I don't like Lane assist on any vehicle that makes your steering wheel feel loose and strange

Those panoramic sunroofs are terrible, you are always exposed to sunlight even with the screen closed. I would rather see them focus in higher quality materials and eliminate that hole in the roof. I couldn’t agree with you more about their decision to eliminate the Golf wagon!!
@jerrywarren2007Ай бұрын
I have a 21 and it has been wonderful. I appreciate the tech changes for 24 were driven by feedback. The downside is they butchered the dash to put the new screen in there. Mine has the older Michelin run flats and they seem to be the preferred rubber. I have a second set of wheels with Pirelli winter tires so I can use it year round in Chicago.

great review and car! not sure I'd agree that auto journalists have overlooked this one though... seems to be a darling among all the ones I've seen. though they do seem to struggle with how best to classify it - there are faster, more practical, more utilitarian, more modern but few if any cars have an actual parallel in the price range.

Is it big enough for a regular sized person? This guy is too small to really judge. (Plus not understanding that the passenger seat controls on the driver side of the seat is so the driver can create room for a task without getting out of the car and going around the vehicle)

VW America never gives what potential buyers want. An R-Line Atlas needs to have more power under the hood. An Atlas Peak needs to have skid plates, more ground clearance, and different suspension. Since about 10+ years ago VW America has had a lot of issues and missteps. It's why I left the brand and don't regret it. I've never seen an automaker be so arrogant in their mediocrity than the American division of VW.

Ahh yes... VW, known for making off-road vehicles. I don't go to IKEA looking for designer furniture. In the same way, people don't go to VW/Audi for off-road vehicles. At what point is it the customers responsibility to know how to shop properly?
@yippie686224 күн бұрын
@@KalenvS You miss the point. If companies like VW are going to make "soft Off-Roaders" then they should step it up a bit. The Chevy Traverse Z71 and Honda Pilot Trail Sport at least give you some skid plates. VW gives you cosmetics only.
@KalenvS24 күн бұрын
I'm missing the point? "If companies like VW are going to make "soft Off-Roaders""... In what world is VW going to make an "Off Road" vehicle???? Stop going to McDonalds expecting a 7 course meal with top level service.... You are the dumb one for thinking VW is going to go compete in the Dakar Rally lol. "But they called the trim level "Super Duper Off Road Overlanding Go Over Anything 4Motion Beast Mode Platinum", so you just know it will be able to climb Everest!" Get over yourself man...

What plug is used for the plug in now? CCS1? Does it include a DC fast charge capability in case you wanted to charge it on the road or just AC charging for Level 1 and Level 2 chargers? You never showed how it plugged in to determine answers to these questions.
