An absolutely beautiful movie with a beautiful ending albeit tragic for kids in these circumstances who more often than not never get that second chance like the kid in this movie. The acting was excellent, the kid was amazing and of course Dev Patel was amazing.

If Blockblister ever made a parody of this scene, it would be just like this. Biscotti Blokey: Hello. I am the Saroo Brierly. I am currently in the rural India. I am searching for my biological mother. Kreplak: What you need? Biscotti: Hello. I am the Saroo Brierly. I am looking for my biological mother. Her name is Ammi. I wish the Ammi was with me. Kreplak: Yaga. Come, Saroo. Biscotti: Come where? They walk a few steps until they see Gnocchi Blokey dressed as an old lady. Gnocchi Blokey: Here I am, Sheru. Biscotti: (overdramatic fake crying) Oh, Ammi! Gnocchi: (overdramatic fake crying) Oh, Sheru! Biscotti: (overdramatic fake crying) Oh, Ammi. I am so sorry about the watermelons. Ammi, where is the brother Guddu? I wish the Guddu was with me. Kreplak: Guddu is the no more. He is with the God. Gnocchi: (overdramatic fake crying) Sheru, it is time to meet the sister Shekila. Blini Blokey: Hello! I am the Shekila! I am the sister. Biscotti: (overdramatic fake crying) Wow-wee, Shekila! You are so big and beautiful! I am the Saroo. I am the brother. Gnocchi: Your real name is Sheru and it means lion. Gnocchi, Blini, and Biscotti, all form a group hug while continuing with their overdramatic fake crying. Kreplak: Yaga. (Holds up a sign with a poorly drawn lion on it)

I won't lie. I've lived for 32 years, and that was the first scene in a movie that truly moved me to tears. There have been rare instances when my eyes got slightly moist, but I never actually shed tears except for during this scene. And every time I watch it, I do.

A particular person plays a various roles in their whole life brother, son, husband etc. I don't know how much you are important for this world but for your family you are only one that family needs you only and not any nothing else.thats a beauty of our humanity God made.

This was the first movie I ever saw Denzel in and was embarrassed. This movie was trash. It was a joke that they made him read these lines.... super pathetic.
