Excellent interview. Nervous system dysregulation is definitely one of the root causes for modern health issues. It's why Polyvagal Theory is so important to delve into. I find Deb Dana (and now Dr. Janina) have this incredible effect on my body. Their soothing tone always makes my body relax. It's the same when I attend the psychologist I used to go to. I'd feel regulated for about 2-3 weeks afterwards and feel tremendously better. As someone who has had ongoing trauma since age 2, having external co-regulation has been key in keeping myself "safe". Now that I can't do that due to health issues and limited life it's been very challenging.

Just keep.working on yourself. Its always best for me to.work alone. Lately Ive let a couple of Counselors in, but basicly, anyone else would just be a distraction. I dont feel.bad at all by saying I just want to be left alone at this point.

I feel the asme way, and I think that's a big issue in terms of healing trauma. Many forms usually are caused by relationships, and sadly they will also be healed in relation. Making it tricky since we doon't want to connect as a way to protect ourselves.

I was a mental health nurse for 30 years & looking back I’d change so much about our practice. Now a psychotherapist I endeavour to work with the person & their parts not their label. I love this man’s work ❤

How much daily fiber is enough fiber? Is pre workout with carbs bad, even if we exercise within an hour? How long does it take for insulin to spike after a meal? Thank you for this content

So if fructose inhibits these enzymes then wouldn't eating fruit be bad because it would make the liver store fat?

Great video, Robert is wunderfull. A question, the leaky gut is cureable and based on the information in the video, that the blood brain barrier is the same with tight junktions and so on, does this mean the bbb can also be repaired? Anyone knows this?

Fibre is not the answer. Its not essential. Fruit is no good. Fructose is fructose no matter how you look at it. Fruit is made by humans to taste sweet, to be disease resistant and will raise triglycerides and uric acid levels plus damage your liver. Those who eat lots of fruit, go check your triglyceride levels, uric acid level and all liver enzyme levels. You will see what i am saying is the truth. Fruit of ancestral times was significantly less sweet. It is not required by humans. Fat and meat is. I like Dr Lustig but he is wrong when it comes to Fruit. Fibre is an irritant and our ancestors ate high fat and meat and ate plants only in lean times or when hunts were unsuccessful. Our gut biome will adjust and colonise with different bacteria which will be very beneficial and feed the gut as he puts it. Many other sources of energy, eg..glutamine, fatty acids and proteins can achieve a very healthy microbiome.

Animal fats are frequently contaminated with LPS (bacterial wall components) which are highly inflammatory (+TNFa, +IL-6 via TLR2, 4 receptors). In one study, the highest amounts were found in: pork, turkey, cheese, ice cream, chocolate, and fast-food burgers. LPS has an affinity for chylomicrons which transport dietary fats from gut into circulation without a leaky gut. Is this correct?
