@@MalcolmBaumgart I'm not sure what you mean. There are backing vocals on the stereo mix as well - the same backing vocals that are on the mono mix. Although The Andantes are mixed very upfront on both so in that way, yeah this could definitely be mistaken for a solo performance.

@@Bradburger Really happy you're enjoying this and the other mono/stereo posts. In time, I should have the entire "Up-Tight" album here. This was an immediate favorite for me, second only to "Uptight" (interesting how the album hyphenated the title lol) and definitely I gotta believe Mickey Stevenson was having a bit of fun using a slightly altered horn arrangement of one of his biggest hits! The drums- I nearly wore my arms off trying to learn to play those drum fills back in the day. And of course, I never really mastered it.

"LIttle Girls Grow Up" would have been an excellent album cut though. Now- if you wonder what Gladys Horton would have sounded like in the seventies, wonder no more: Search KZbin for the group Concept Nine, Gladys sang lead for the band. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6HUYaiji9-EpMUsi=BBmHBhc4pK4JjCpO This sounds like Motown seventies style: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5OvoJSYpLWbj80
