Not exactly on topic however if a parent is 40 years old and the child is 20 with his 1st year out of college on his 1st job., is there ever an occasion when it might benefit the child to buy coverage for his father rather than buy a policy on himself? thx

I would sum up IBC as responsible financial planning. You build up your base of safe capital, avoid debt, and then once you have that base you venture into more speculative investments. Without that base you risk the whole structure collapsing (which unfortunately for many American families, it does).

Loved hearing Nelson’s voice one more time. I was so blessed meeting you and through you meeting Nelson and becoming good friends. He is a big reason my children go to Samford University in Greater Birmingham. I remember him and Mary sitting with us in the Dean of Music office after Nelson got Eli a chance to audition as a junior in High School. Over the approximately dozen years I was able to get insights and wisdom from him that will serve me, my kids and future unborn generations to come. Again thank you James for your friendship and the privilege of knowing Nelson and Mary

The vector application of force and direction is extremely critical. I really appreciate the illustration of good news “making good time and bad news-lost course 😂” Makes sense if we use all the force in world but have no intentional direction what’s the point. Thank James, I see the rate and volume in this…. Frank

Ha ha, what premium would be irresponsibly high for an ambitious new advisor? I'm not going to start small, but maybe I'll consider it embarrassingly small down the road...

At timestamp 50:05 you quote the one statement that sums up this whole man's outlook on life. He will look at everything in life differently than compared to a man that needs like insurance for his family and still stay afloat in this economy.

Thank you, Mr, Neathery, for this excellent and straightforward explanation of the Infinite Banking Concept. Many people miss that it’s not just about life insurance; it’s about taking control of their own financial system. By becoming their own bank, they’re no longer reliant on traditional banks-they’re both the depositor and borrower, like owning a home instead of renting. I've used dividend paying whole life insurance as my bank for several years. The complainer can say it doesn't work, but I'll say that it helped me to pay off every note I had, including several rental properties, my home, and all other notes I had, and now I have over $500,000 in cash available to me, whenever I need it. To me, he's obviously ignorant (not an insult ... he just doesn't have knowledge) as to how the program works. If you are disciplined in handling your finances, there is no better way to build your finances and have 100% control of every dollar at all times. I know James personally and he is telling you the truth!

No fees? Is he aware that you can get a money market account at 5%? There may not be a direct itemized fee, but he is definitely paying when you consider opportunity cost. And that's without even getting into taxes!
@HazeltineLLC2 ай бұрын
Hahaha didn't watch the video yet, just froze the screen on his comments. I get a lot of similar comments / feedback, although they're usually unprintable due to the names I get called. He doesn't seem to realize that the "money" (U.S. Dollars) he deposits at the bank doesn't belong to him; it belongs to the bank. The "deposit" is actually an unsecured loan to the bank, and you become an unsecured creditor to the bank (have we already forgotten Silicon Valley Bank?). The bank doesn't charge fees? Well, they may not directly charge fees, but they're making profits somehow, aren't they? I guess he thinks the banks are charitable institutions since they offer products for "free"? As always, the argument boils down to: "because the agent made a commission, therefore the product is evil". Of course the bank where he stores his "money" is by contrast a wonderful charitable, non-profit organization just there to help you . . .

How do we preorder the book? I would like to help Ryan pay back the policy loan he took to pay for the book’s production costs. Also a hardcover option please. Paperbacks tend not to be displayed on my book collection shelf.

Great Scott! I remember making book covers out of paper grocery sacks so I wouldn't have to pay for a damaged book. Each long form episode gives me another jolt of what I coulda, shoulda, outta be doing better. I hope to get my signed copy of Ryan's new book soon.

Looking forward to reading your book, Ryan! I've learned a lot from you and James about IBC and proper case/policy design. Would you be interested in coming on my show to talk about it? Thanks again for the great content!

I'm exceedingly excited for the book. Ryan's mechanics series, in its entirety once and a few sections two or three times, was absolutely key for me to get over the hump. Nelson's main two books are great, but at least what I personally needed was Ryan's attention and dedication to detail and directness to fit between BYOB's more ideological and 'story telling' style. It really helped me get over some points of confusion that I had. I'm only about 2 years or so into my journey into learning about IBC and whole life (1st policy anniversary coming up, too), but I've made a personal commitment to refreshing myself/reviewing fundamentals in the first quarter of every year, which entails basically re-reading 3 books: Becoming Your Own Banker, Building Your Warehouse of Wealth, and Between The Lies along with watching start to finish Ryan's mechanics series, and listening to the BWL book review on my commute to work. 2025 will be my second time around to it. I might be jumping the gun, but I think How To Buy Whole Life is going to fit right in. I just want to genuinely say congratulations about the release, and thank you both for being an essential part of my Fridays while I'm either in between meetings while I work, or walking the dog after I get home. Whatever it means to you, you've had a profoundly positive impact on the life of this random person from the internet, and my extension my family. Thank you.
