the Arles look a bit more contrasty (which I like) and the sharpness rolloff is nicer on the Cooks. thats both very subtle - other than that it is hard to see any difference for me…
@codylarosa10 күн бұрын
I noticed a little bit more green on the cookes, and a little bit of character that is hard to explain but the Arles look more true to life which could go either way depending on what you want.

Hey there! I'm a one-man band, and I've heard you think the lenses I'm considering might slow me down a bit. I shoot with the FX6 and currently have the kit 24-105mm f/4 OSS lens. I'm really looking to switch things up and create a different vibe for my wedding and corporate shoots. Do you have any favorite lens brands you’d recommend? Thanks so much!
@codylarosa22 күн бұрын
Hey! I think for run-and-gun stuff especially weddings it would be wise to invest in the holy trinity 16-35,24-70 and 70-200. I have the tamron 17-28, 28-75 and sony gmaster 70-200 with that combo I was able to film so much stuff. If I were to go back and do it over again I might have waited and saved up a little more to buy the sonys. Theyre just so sharp and super accurate colors. Kind of a boring answer but you really cant of wrong with them. Also recently I have been using the sigma 24-70 and its been really great I think its on par with sonys image but autofocus is not as great as the sonys.

@ what I have been doing is just using a monitor mount right on the flat part. If you send me a message I’ll send me setup
@DangAlvinFilms25 күн бұрын
@ that’s what I’ve settled on! I tried really complex setups with like evf style monitor mounts, a rod going across, but ultimately wanted a simpler setup. It can just feel so close to my face when mounted along the flat part of the handle.

I know what you mean bro... don't use wannabe fake models, utilize a REAL model that understands the concept of what their job is and not "look cute". Just say it man lol. Nah nice video my guy I digs this!!!! I run into a lot of untrained models that wants more than Tyra banks but they need to do more than just "look good" which 85%of todays no experienced and no agent "models" don't understand especially when you have to shoot AND train and hold tey hands. It's annoying. Contact through a model agency or ask for their portfolio NOT on faceboob and IG.

love it! question , are rails necessary for such a heavy lens? or the e mount can take it
@codylarosa27 күн бұрын
Good question, with this rig I am usually pulling focus off the barrel so I don't use rails but if I was using it in on a tripod or anything else I'd most likely have some rails and lens support on it. This is about the same weight as a 70-200 which on sonys website they show it on a fx6 with no support so I'm assuming its fine. however its better to be safe than sorry.
@snickernick365126 күн бұрын

And not only do models “look good” like you said but they’re also professionals at modeling they are so confident in front of camera and you don’t have to tell them what to do where as your friend would be shy and not know how to pose/ model etc

Incredible video! Whats your thoughts on the F1 LUTs? Worth the money?
@codylarosa27 күн бұрын
I’ve been really liking them, I did some side by sides and they are very close to filmbox but filmbox is much much more expensive. There’s so many luts and I’ve been yet to use all of them. The discord is nice too and Blaine is there to answer any questions about them. Depending on your workflow you can really dial them in with the powergrade or you can just drag and drop one of them and it’s pretty much a final image. Check out Nick Brady too he has made some amazing videos using them. If you have any questions you can DM me on instagram too and I’ll be happy to talk more in depth about them.
