I've got one. It's like using Windows 95 on a really old computer. It puts you off doing anything on the phone which is why i have it. It CAN do pretty everything, but it's a pain compared to a normal smartphone. Can be buggy, but gets there in the end. I use it for calls, text , whats app, spotify and youtube (listening not watching). Takes a while to get used to. With frontlight turned off, it can only be used outside or with a light shining on it

Half a Kindle, should be half the price of a Kindle or less. Cause with all the stuff taken out of it - from phones jack to haptic feedback - that's an e-reader with some smartphone features, not a smartphone. E-ink should be a cheap bonus add-on to existing full-featured smartphones for people who do a lot of reading and want longer battery life. Make it a back screen. NOT the main and only selling feature of the phone. It's a camera phone. People "zoom" and "skype" and "facetime" all the time now. It's why we're moving onto 5G - more bandwidth for all those data-heavy activities.

Nope. I like the design and functions of the device, but not with it running Android 11, which is already at End-of-Life for support. Bigme, Boox, and all these other Chinese device companies need to either get with the idea of releasing devices with more current chipsets, and updating existing Android builds on devices (i.e. Android 13 at minimum since this is 2024, going into 2025), or just stop making devices altogether. That old of an Android OS is kind of a hazard as far as security goes. Stop releasing what is basically outdated e-waste when it leaves the factory.

For every last bit of quality you need to use at least the s-video output of your recorder/camcorder. So you also need a super VHS or Hi8 camcorder/recorder. And yes it really is a big difference. Also for standard VHS and video8!

Regarding the "Combustion cars rarely have catestrophic failures" thing, my 2010 Golf GTI suddenly lost power and basically wouldn't accept any throttle at all and I had to get it towed. It sounds like you were able to drive your Model S to the service centre no problem. I would probably prefer you cite statistical data rather than random anecdotes regarding this kinda thing because you can come away with some pretty untrue assertions otherwise. Often these battery degredation errors are fine for many days or weeks.

Hi, people are saying that the monitor doesn't boot even with the connector board you linked through Windows and needs a Mac for the first (cold) boot but works after connecting it to a windows pc. Can you clarify please? Edit: Yes it wasn't able to boot from anything but a g4, until 17 hours ago, a user named crt09 from a certain site I won't name (crtgaming) cracked the code and boot it from a win 10.

3:42 this isn't typically what you should expect as the highest quality from an NTSC source like VHS or Hi8, even for as hobbyist. I believe, just looking over the video presented here that it appears to have dropped either all the odd or even fields from the interlaced frames. This effectively cut the resolution in half. It also cut the frame rate in in half, making the video "move" in a way not consistent with NTSC video, with is technically 60 fields per second - a much smoother "motion" when video in the original format. If you clock "Stats for nerds" you see this video was uploaded at 30p. So, even with your setup, you can capture 480i @ 59.94 then use a slightly more sophisticated deinterlacing algorithm like the MSU plugin for VirtualDub to render on a nice 60p version of the video. It will look a lot more like how the video originally looked when viewed on a TV. If you're looking to share your home movies via KZbin, then it's preferable to upscale them to 4K. Even though your VHS source content doesn't come close to this resolution, KZbin's compression algorithms are *much* more kind to 4K uploads than anything less. The upscale won't add more detail but the final KZbin result will be much less "messy".

My own 2015 MS85D now has over 227,000 miles and 87% battery .. and still looks and drives as new. It isn’t worth anything in the marketplace with that many miles, so I just keep driving it :). I know it seems crazy .. but these cars really last and I would not be afraid of buying them.
