I just planted mine in cactus mix with extra pumice pearlite and orchid bark in a terracotta pot so hope it works. Found it in a garden centre planted in soggy soil I thought too airy of mixture might shock the roots. No clue what kind of cymbidium it is

Does anyone know how long it takes for these to mature or develop a spike ? I bought mine awhile ago and was told it was a mature orchid. It is a nice size and orchid and It's really beautiful just as it is BUT I really can't wait to get a spike and a bloom .

I belong to a Orchid Society, which is known as the Sheffield District Orchid Society, which is based in Sheffield South Yorkshire. I know you live in the USA in Florida. I believe and I often hear you say that you have been giving talks to other societies up and down the United States. I was wondering if you would be interested on doing a talk on zoom to a society i.e. our society in England, obviously they would be a time difference, but if you could let me know your time difference between England and the United States then I could have a rough idea on the time lapse between us and if it was possible. Hello Wade. Can this genus be mounted? I rotted my last one out

I bought one at a nursery and it was dried out. The merchant told me to take it home and soak it and fill each pitcher with water 1/4 of the way with bottled water. I used reverse Osmosis water. Will my plant be ok?
