I am vegetarian but i don't eat dairy cause i am lactose intollerant and cheese in not the healthiest but i eat eggs and honey. My grampa and uncle produce honey so i use the one that they make. Eggs are heathy and rich in omegas and iron that have a bio disponibility compared to flaxseeds.

Im vegetarian because being vegan at 17 with a family who views veganism as some 'religious cult' is emotionally draining 😭 hopefully, I'll be capable of making the full transition in the next few years though🤞🏻

Another thing, let's be real here, you guys wanna say that vegetarians can contribute to animal suffering as much or more than a meat eater, but there are plenty of meat eaters out there that eat meat 3 times a day 7 days a week, that's worse for the animals and the environment. Also you guys and other vegans also contribute to environment declining in some ways too, veganism isn't a superior diet it has downfalls too, if your a person that's consuming a lot of vegan cheese like cashews and almond cheese, they can cause environmental impact. For example almond farming requires significant amounts of water even in regions prone to drought like California. Cashew production can involve harmful labor practices aswell. Many vegan cheeses are highly processed and might require more energy for production compared to dairy cheese. Vegan cheese also comes in plastic packaging which adds to environmental waste. Vegan cheese production in large quantities can cause habitat destruction, and affect wildlife and ecosystems.

It's funny that you guys wanna act like vegetarians are spoiled when it comes to eating out but vegans are very spoiled when it comes to the media, on KZbin when you try to type vegetarian meals or find vegetarian youtubers a bunch of vegan videos pop up, also some vegans still buy and use leather and eat a bunch of vegan cheese aswell

These ladies are very ignorant in the way they talk about vegetarianism, it's very sad, condescending, and gaslighting and they don't even realize it. "Vegetarians eat a whole bunch of cheese and little vegetables" Vegetarians don't always have cheese with every meal so idk what's she's talking about. This is why the majority of people stray away from a plant based diet in general bc of people who think like. As soon as someone quits meat, you will have some people who are vegan say what they're doing is not good enough for the animals or the environment, i feel like people should do their research first instead of condemning other's of their diet choice, some vegans think that vegetarians contribute to animal suffering and lead others the believe in that false ideology, did you know that a lot of meat consumers contribute to the majority of dairy cows being slaughtered in the dairy industry? Yup it's true, there is a link between meat consumers and dairy cows being killed for meat bc of the high demand for beef. The meat industry is also responsible for the majority of male calves being slaughtered for veal bc there is a high demand for it, it has little to do with just drinking milk and male calves being veiwed as useless. Also did you know that the egg industry isn't just responsible for the killing of male chicks? The remains of male chicks aren't just discarded, they can be used for animal pet food, or turned into fertilizers. A lot of meat eaters contribute to this aswell without realizing it. Instead of vegans condemning vegetarians, they should be grateful that they are doing the most to better animal wellfare and respecting their choice.

As someone who has many times quit and returned to being vegetarian and vegan, it has always been ethical (at least that’s been one of the reasons) but it was family and friends pressuring me to stop, then anemia after having babies and still pressure to stop that made me quit. Going back to it again because I always come back around to not being able to get slaughterhouses out of my head. I first chose to go vegetarian against my family’s preferences at age 9 lol

my views are considered more "extreme" i think. a non vegan partner is a deal breaker for me. I could never connect to them on a deeper level and i would always hope they'd go vegan eventually, always showing them things i learned and "trying to convince them" and i don't want this stress in a relationship. and now that i think about it, i don't think i could trust them because for me part of veganism is respecting consent/non-consent and boundaries and if they can't respect that for non human animals, then why for me and i wouldn't want to kiss them, i think I'd be disgusted😬 but i think its hard dating exclusively vegan

When I had the worst phase of my Sibo I couldn't eat potatoes neither zucchini it made me sicker, it took me very long time to eat potatoes again there is no one way plan for sibo its very individual good luck to finding your own way but definitely great that there are more people up there talking about that and suggesting things.

I could not date a non-vegan woman. My last girlfriend was plantbased (due to my influence) but her being non-vegan still caused issues since she didn't understand the impact of things such as her being totally ok with her family bringing meat, etc. into our house and being completely unwilling to steer them away from doing so.

I remember looking up on the internet; not even vegan keto but pure vegetarian keto and being very disappointed by the options. For so long I tried the 'avocado, olive, nut" diet. This book will be very interesting to read. Any of you heard the book 'Vegan Ramen' by Will Yeung? It's absolute madness!!
