OMG!!! I can’t wait to go there. When I can travel again, I seriously want to book a trip to L.A. and Mazal will be my first stop on a tour of vegan spots. Also, wanted to let y’all know that Tajín is different than Tahini which is different than Tagine (Moroccan dish and vessel used to cook said dish). And, there are a couple of tricks to getting the hummus so smooth - one is cooking the chick peas with a little baking soda and another is discarding the “shells” of the chick peas before blending. I wonder if they use either of those tricks. Cheers!!!

Thank you for sharing! This all looks so good and is my favorite type of food! As a long time vegan, I am not really into vegan fast food like burgers and "chicken" options as it has been years and years since I have eaten meat that I don't miss those foods anymore. I love eating food from cultures that are naturally vegan! My daughter just moved to SD for school, I may have to make a stop in LA and check Mazal out!💚

Joi... you are spot on when it comes to Detroit having THE BEST Middle Eastern cuisine, especially in Dearborn!!! We do Middle Eastern takeout all the time, and the fact that it has tons of Vegan options is fantastic! I am drooling while watching this video and want some pita and hummus right now 😍

i'm so confused about the baga ganoush not being vegan? every place I've been to in new york and philly it's always vegan so is it like a west coast thing to have yogurt or mayo (?!) in it?
