The reason everyone, even the underground Khip-hop rappers idolize and respect GD is for his wit and lyricism that is unmatched. The penmanship he has and the number of double entendres and triple entendres he has in his lyrics, plus how he bends Korean words to fit multiple meanings is what earns him respect. Learning his doubles in English, then learning that his doubles in English also have equivalents in Korean and how sometimes the English sounds like a Korean phrase that totally means a different thing... that's how GD is one of a kind. No other Kpop or K-hiphop band does lyrics like him.

I prefer BabyMonster and other YG Artists. However, I am a fan of multiple groups outside of YG they are just secondary for me. I don't think it's an issue whether you put in artists like Bini or jpop. However, you will lose congruency which can be off-putting to some. Myself, it doesn't matter, because I just go straight to what I want to see. I don't think you need to change anything, you can just start doing doing deep dives whenever you want. However, I do understand that it's a huge undertaking especially when considering time and resources.

Also I'm sure you know this, but I love the way he references his peaceminusone, which is really his overall concept, when Gdragon first designed his logo for his initials GD it looks like a ☮️ but minus the right line at the bottom, making it also "peace" minus one. Maybe referring to not always being a full peace either haha. The layers of meaning he has in everything, I know the lyrics here have so much more to the eye as always!

Since you don't know Daesung that well, I suggest you check out Daesung's tracks like "Wings", "I Don't Cry Anymore", "Shut Up", "The Sign", and "Missing You Now" live stages. Man has such a gorgeous voice with insane range and power, but a lot of people tend to overlook his voice for the others.

You're one of my favorite reactor because of how you analyze the meaning , metaphors, and messages of these music videos. So I definitely think you're on the right track in thinking you should focus on a few groups. So of course xg is one of them. And really any group that does that deep dive into their own lore.

I think it makes sense that “ice on my teeth” is like referencing how they make money just by making music and singing and rapping so their mouths are pretty much diamond mines. Pretty much saying “we make money just by speaking and singing shoutout to our dentist for touching us up” 😭😭
