im a bit late so not sure if you will see this but here is a breakdown of the lyrics! 1. Übermensch is a german word and it translates to “a person who seems superhuman, with astounding powers” which makes sense to the song’s name “power” 2. “억까 짤 퍼다 (eokka jjal peoda)” translates to “forcefully criticize and spread memes” 억까 (eokka) is shortened slang for 억지로 까 (eokjiro kka) 억지 (eokji) = force 까 (kka) = slang word for criticize in 2023 gd was accused of illegal dr*g use and was intensely investigated by the police, the charges were dropped and he was cleared from the allegations. he’s referring to the dr*g scandal, where they were forcefully imposing a false narrative on him. 짤 (jjal) = memes while the case was going on, media coverage published by various news channels, youtube channels and social media accounts misled public opinion by using old interviews in which he spoke slowly, suddenly smiled and had unnatural facial expressions, making it seem like he was high or indisposed. these clips became memes and that’s what he is referring to. 3. “샬라샬라하다가 (shalla shalla) shout out” translates to “talking blah blah then shout out” shalla shalla is an onomatopoeia for talking sounds. basically saying they’re yapping. 4. "do not waste your time yeah it’s gotta be me” he’s talking about how he is always the target because of his position in the industry, recognizing that the attacks against him stem from his influence and power. “i’ve got all the receipts” indicates that he possesses the evidence or truth to defend himself and counter the accusations. 5. “애들이 나보고 개꿀이라더”개꿀 (aedeuli nabogo gaekkuliradeo)” is not exactly translatable but a rough translation would be “they said that im easy” "개꿀 (gaekkul)” is a slang term that suggests something is very easy or comfortable. he's indicating that others perceive his life as very easy or effortless no matter how much he is struggling. 6. “댓글, 리플, 관종, 걔들 입틀막고 (daetgeul, ripeul, gwanjong, gaedeul ipteulmakgo)” 댓글 (daetgeul) = comments 리플 (ripeul) = reply 관종 (gwanjong) = attention seekers 입틀막고 (ipteulmakgo) = shut them up he’s saying he’s going to reply to all comments of attention seekers and shut them up, which is what he’s doing right now lol 7. “like a dragon fly, 누울 자리 글로벌 명품 (nuweul jari geullobeol myeongpum)” = like a dragon fly, the spot where i lay is towards invention/new creation” 글 (geul) = text, lyrics, writings. phonetically, it also makes up one-half of the word “global” in the next line, “발명품 (bal myeong pum)” means “invention.” if u put both parts together, gd connected two korean words (glo + bal) to make global. but u can also view it was 명품 (myeongpum) = luxury, so he is saying the place where i lay is a GLOBAL luxury. “dragonfly” in korean is “잠자리 (jamjari)” but jamjari also means “the place where you rest/lay/sleep.” 8. “g to the d, or goat the livin’ legend” g to the d obviously refers to his name gd (gdragon) but it can also mean “g to the d, or Goat the livin’ legenD” the starting and ending letters of the sentence! that’s why he says OR (hes also talking to goats HOW CUTE IS THAT) 9. “king is still poppin', star 'k-다시 (dashi)” dashi means again but it also has the word DASH (-) in it, the reason it’s blank after k- is because he is not only the star of k-pop but of k- anything. 10. “i heard you've got the straight flush, he's forever royal” a straight flush is a poker hand that consists of five cards in a row of the same suit. for example, a hand with the cards Q♥ J♥ 10♥ 9♥ 8♥ is a queen-high straight flush. the royal flush (A♣K♣Q♣J♣T♣) is the best possible straight flush but gets ranked in its own category as the strongest possible hand you can make in a game of poker 11. “i don't give a 쉬잇, 웃다 끝, '돈' 기부 '억' 씨익 (i don’t give a swiit, utda kkeut don gibu eok ssik)” “i don’t give a 쉬잇 (swiit)” = i don’t give a sh*t “웃다 끝 (utda kket)” = laughed and ended, this refers to his answer to the media after being interrogated. a reporter asked him “you were questioned for 4 hours, what are the areas that the police focused on?” and he answered “we just laughed a lot before ending it” “돈 기부 억 씨익 (don gibu eok ssik)”= donating hundreds of millions and then smiling after the dr*g allegations, gd made JUSPEACE foundation, aimed at promoting dr*g prevention and raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse. gd donated 300 million won in honor of his fans, vips. “돈 기부 억 씨익 (don gibu eok ssik)” also sounds like don’t give a sh*t in a korean accent! 12. “권력오남용 묻고, 관용, 천재, 지병, 불가항력 (gwonryeokonamyong mudgo, gwanyong, cheonjae, jibyeong, bulgahangryeok)” means “bury the abuse of power and be tolerant, genius chronic disease, irresistable force” he is saying no matter how much they abuse their power, he will be tolerant but they still can’t defeat him because he has an incurable disease of being a “genius”, comfirmed by the next lyrics where he says “way too strong i’ve got that power” mireushya = mireu means dragon in korean, mireushya is not modern korean but in a very old and traditional korean, he is saying "im the dragon" the line before that, he says NEWS asia, this isn't news as in news channel but North East West South! so he is saying all over asia im the dragon! 13. “일당백‘지뢰밭’ 본업이 bang (ildangbaek jirwebat boneobi bang)” = “one against a hundred, my main job bang” “본업이 (boneobi)” = main job but also phonetically resembles the english phrase “born to be” this dual meaning implies that his primary work exists within the challenging industry of kpop, likened to a ‘minefield’ where he stands against numerous idols and singers. ultimately, this statement conveys that he is destined to make a significant impact. the way gd raps this, sounds like he says “born to big bang” essentially, he is “born to be” a member of big bang. 14. “nothin’ you ain’t know, but a g thang” reference to dr.dre and snoop dogg’s “nuthin’ but a g thang” this song defined the west coast hip-hop’s golden era. in gds song “g” also stands for gdragon, he’s aligning himself with hip-hop legends, but flipping the ‘g’ to mean himself, subtly claiming his own iconic status in the industry. 15. “동서남북 asia 미르시여 (dongseonambuk asia mireusiyeo)” in the official lyrics this translates to “news asia” but news here stands for North East West South which are the directions he listed in korean. “미르 (mireu)” means dragon in korean so he is saying, all of asia, im the dragon. he’s saying this in very old and traditional korean for some reason lol. “europe to australia 나르샤 (europe to australia nareushya)” nareushya means to fly (again in very old korean) because what to dragons do? fly. he’s flying all around the world. 16. “started from the bottom now 아리랑 (arirang)” arirang is a traditional korean folk song, he is saying he’s korean and he’s representing korea. gd has influence in the west too, but this line also signifies how he is not trying to make kpop western but rather trying to bring korea all over the world. 17. "88 날아” 8 8 is pal pal, which is onomatopoeia for a birds wings flapping in korean. 날아 (nara) means to fly, which adds on to the wings flapping. 18. he whole mv is a “set up” it’s basically a set where he walks through, at the end he exits from this door. this refers to how he he doesn’t just wants to be an entertainment for everybody to watch and judge, he wants to be free. he exists the set to choose his own destiny / path. also, you see so many 8's on the mv and the lyrics, there are a few reasons for this : - the song is 2 minutes and 24 seconds (2+2+4 = 8) - 8 songs in the album - born on 18.08.88 - it's been 88 months since his last solo song released (7 years ago) SOME TIMESTAMPS : 03:09 = the glasses on the table and the jacket the news reporter is wearing is the same exact fit gd wore when he was getting investigated for the dr*g use. that’s why it’s in a news room. when he wore those glasses, despite the situation, the glasses were sold out everywhere so he is saying no matter what, he got the “power” to sell them out. 02:10 = the mini car is a reference to his song "crayon" where he was also on a mini car! 02:21 = in the background, the room closed off with caution tapes is the dr*g investigation room and that’s why its blocked off, he’s saying he doesn’t need to be there, shutting it forever. 01:21 = the people with the red hoods at the door are a reference to his song "coup d'etat" as in the poster for it he was also wearing a red hood. 01:15 = the image of two people staring at each other represents gdragon looking at himself, it’s more of a “what you see is what you get” line, he’s saying he’s 100% real, not a fake everything gd writes has a meaning / purpose, this is why he's called the king of kpop! hope that was clear and thank you so much for reacting to him <3

omg. Too late for me to notice! The album cover illustration for Home Sweet Home kind of represented the 3 man standing for Bigbang, and the 2 left in the shadows. 🥲
