It is with you ma'am that I learned how to make pie crust for pies for the first time. Because of that, I've been making pies since then, and they always turn out really well. Thank you for teaching us in a clear and concise manner.

That you dear lady! This was great! I’m from Canada 🇨🇦 and thanks to climate change I’m now able to grow peaches that are lovely. I don’t want to waste not one!

How do you get the jars hot? Boil them?

Love this. I don't know where you're from or if it matters but I'm from the midwest. A while ago, it had been a long while since I did strawberries with sugar so I Googled asking about the ratio of sugar to berries and the "best" I got was "1-2T:1 quart berries." I audibly laughed. When you said "1/2 c sugar" and dumped that bad boy on those berries, I said out loud "that's my girl." 😂😂 I mean, it's sugar y'all. I try not to lie to myself about my love of the ingredient, it is what it is. More sugar just means more syrup, right??

@thegreatoutdoors9769 it wasn't the best video ever but she explained everything just fine, but since you seem a little dim I'll give you the children's version, open your Google machine that I know you have since your on KZbin. Search "what is my altitude" write that number down because we both know a simple man like you is going to forget. Not ask the google how long to process tomatoes at whatever number you wrote down. There you go buddy

This video was so helpful! Thank you so much. Split breasts were $1.79 per pound in my area today while boneless skinless were $4.99. I saved so much but wasn’t sure the best way to process them. Thanks a million!

I can't give an accurate time to process in a boiling water canner as it varies for different elevations. But you can find a graph here for the length of time you'll need to boil at your elevation, nchfp.uga.edu/how/can/how-do-i-can-tomatoes/whole-or-halved-tomatoes-packed-in-water/ I hope that helps.

What's the point? If you're going to skin it you might as well buy them that way. The whole point is to de-bone but keep the skin. That's something you can't buy.

I have never water bath my tomatoes. I had a little acidic, content , lemon juice, etc. I don’t peel them. I do core them. I do add boiling water and I let them cool. I’ve been doing it this way for years. I don’t understand why people water bath tomatoes.
