I’ve had the conversation with the owner of the company but it’s the driver who actually loads the truck- they get paid by the cord- not by the hour so not a lot of incentive for them to filter the trash out for me.

If you're paying premium prices for junk firewood poles, it's time to have a chat with the supplier about adjusting your bill. Or start looking for other log suppliers.

You could heat the hydraulic oil with your engine by a heatexchanger, you could but a copperpipe spiral in the hydraulic tank... I am also hoping/waiting for subzero temperatures, but we are still at +5°C in the mornings. I like it when it dries up...
@thelogfather5002
@thelogfather5002 2 күн бұрын
That’s not a bad idea! As long as my little engine can still get up to temperature.
@johanneslaxell6641
@johanneslaxell6641 2 күн бұрын
@thelogfather5002 I would say that if you could get a coil (maybe better word than spiral, English my third language 🫣) of pipe into the tank you could manage the flow with a simple valve, even terminate the flow by a sensor. The circulating coolant give away some heat but still carry alot around, you can easily check that the drop of temperature stays low/small enough. If the temperature of the coolant goes down as example 5-10°C impact on the engine is small but impact on the hydraulic oil noticeable.

The hornets last batch of larva are usually queens they’re raised to maturity then mated and they fly away from that nest find somewhere to spend the winter where they won’t freeze re-emerge in the spring lay there fertilized eggs and start next year’s nest the workers and drones in that paper all die when the freeze comes

I didn't know that about the Bluejays. I find our sugar maple keeps its bark fairly smooth unless it's very old and large. Especially closer to the ocean. The farther in I go the bigger the maple.

I got curious and looked it up. Your UTC -3;00 UTC -4;00 is eastern time. Granted it changes for summer one hour. . And some of the other areas farther east are -2;30 UTC and one area that doesn't change time for summer.
