Just got the taipan X have broken in the barrel by the twenty shot mark was shooting less that .5 of an inch groups with the adi world class 55gr sierra blitz kings. This was amazing and stopped wasting bullets on break-in am very stoked with the groups I got . Was not expecting this from the info that's out there everyone saying they r not super accurate I have to disagree it's going to b great on rabbits and foxes out to distance walking the farms I have it set up differently from my other rifles with vortex strike eagle 1-8x24 on top and not the biggest scope I could afford. The strike eagle also nice. Am really stoked with it and still buzzing with the groups I got when breaking in. Any break in left to complete will happen just shooting the next pk of bullets at some targets. Love it that's it's different from the average bolt gun. Love that it's both pump and straight pull.

Wolf primers be like that. My Mini-14 used to get a lot of light strikes with them. For me replacing the hammer spring fixed that however it made a near perfect trigger a little heavier. For an outdated rifle the Mini-14 sure has a great trigger.

Yeah single point slings are ok for shorter firearms and SBRs, SBSs, and PDWs but for longer hunting rifles and shotguns trekking around the wilderness or even "zombie apocalypse" 2 point is best.

I've got an german x-five supermatch skeleton. And I have to say, the weight makes it have not much recoil. And to be honest, I'm a noobie. But the gun itself shots absolutely fantastic. FANTASTIC. I love it. Now, I'd tried to shot an Clock, which one it is i don't know. But at the shooting range, there was to cops, shooting Clocks, trying mine. And you should have seen there face. You can't compare them. This gun is AWESOME and so beautiful. ❤❤❤

The Trailside seems ok but unlike the International, 208, or 215 the rear sight moves with the sight. If you are using an optical sight it doesn't matter and maybe it doesn't matter at all but I would like to see the Walther make the new Trailside or Exesse or whatever they are calling it with the rear sight bridge like the 208. Just a thought.

For ISSF .22 competition, only the Hammerli would suffice for a beginner competitor . Others are only for casual shooting or some of these pseudo combat matches. Triggers not adjustable enough, too much recoil due to the design but, they won’t be fussy about ammunition because they mostly have sloppy chambers. Buy the time you buy one of these, modify them, practice, you would have been better off to buy a used quality pistol. I own several quality pistols, one that I bought in 1997, I have shot 10,000 rounds out of with few malfunctions only due to ammunition. Quality pistols are expensive but, not as expensive as quality shotguns and target rifles . Expect to pay $2500-3500 for a new one and approaching half for a 10 year old used model. I agree that you must obtain spares , learn to clean your pistol yourself and replace things as they wear out. In F1, they used to replace the engine and gearbox after each race and sometimes between practice and the race . Quality equipment requires maintenance but, the reward is top performance . Performance far above all of the pistols listed here. Look at the Olympics and world championships. See any Rugers there? I list the American guns in the review as casual shooters, the Beretta a 9 score gun, the Hammerli as a junior or lady pistol that can get 9-10s. The top pistols will only miss the 10 if the shooter does not do his / her part. The pistols listed here make it hard for the shooter to do his/ her part.

I would highly recommend a Rager Mark IV Hunter as a first pistol. I bought one for my daughter's birthday. I promptly stole it from her to shoot SCSA Steel Challenge in RFPI. She got it back once I bought the Volquartzen. That Ruger is a joy to maintain, unlike my Scorpion, which is Mark III based and therefore not "pushbutton easy." The Hunter has a great balance and fantastic sights that even I can use at my advanced age, given the enormous sight radius.

Nice video, thanks a lot for sharing this with us. I actually watched it about a year ago... it seems you've not (yet) posted a review on your Browning Buck Mark Contour. Do you still have in mind to publish that review? After almost 2 years of using club pistols for small caliber service matches (precision) I'm ambivalent on whether to buy the S&W 41 or the Buck Mark Contour. Eager to know your views out of such a rich experience you seem to have built up. Thanks in advance.
@saminc17059 ай бұрын
Yeah I really should post another video- work/ kids / life / health have been getting in the way. I would say it depends on your budget. I would have said buck mark but I now come across a few bad ones- seems like they do put out a very occasional lemon. Mine has been flawless but my mate just bought a contour second hand and it was a POS. Mod 41 is a winner they can just be slightly fussy on ammo. but if you have time to tune a spring or 2 to a specific ammo you will be happy.

Its hard to describe but the extractor "claw" has to climb over the Rim of the case when loaded in battery. when loaded from the mag the rim slips under the claw so the claw does not need to flex outward. because the claw does not have much room to flex outward on "series one" guns the claw can chip and they once chipped it will only have 50% of the surface area to grip the rim. then the full claw will eventually break. Do you own a series one x5?

Totally shit firearm. A new rifle should feed and function will most brands of ammo, flawlessly. There is zero excuse for these rifles to have stoppages. It's clearly a design flaw as they do it once they start getting hot. Lets face it, if it wasn't for their AR looks, no one would buy them. This is the country we live in now.

Nice vid mate. Good honesty and no fluff. I’ve had mine a couple months and love it. It seems to enjoy 60 grn Fiocchi ballistic tip. I’ve run an LPVO on a high mount and it was good. Now I’ve gone for a Holosun green dot that’s on a lower 1/3 co witness mount and it’s a MUCH better fit. Nice and tall. I’ll get a 3x magnifier next. The rifle does start to seize up a bit when I run it fast though. Both ejecting and feeding. Waiting now for a reply from SCSA.

@saminc1705 very well made being 2nd gen. Too heavy due to the upper handgaurd material profile. In the past have owned ar15 and ar10 when laws permitted would consider the upper to be of similar size and weight of ar10. Accuracy and functionality was flawless. How ever the tacked on forwar assist kit was function but screws constantly came loose.
