All tents will create condensation in those conditions. Science.

I actually had the condensation problem in not so cold weather too. Disappointing considering the price I paid. Love the quick set up

Like your honesty but you made me dizzy moving around with your camera like a roller coaster at dream world lol

I've reduced both the setup and takedown time for a OZ tent RV3 plus flysheet to less than half by using screw-in pegs that are screwed in or out with cordless drill. The only problem is that on an OZ-tent plus flysheet you need two packs of screw-in tent pegs and they are more than a little pricey. I also first lay down a netted groundsheet and erect the tent on top of the groundsheet which provides a pleasant ground cover for the area below the awning while dirt simply falls through the netting. Inside the tent I lay down a custom-made 2.4m x 2,4m synthetic tarp (that also doubles up as rain-cover for everything on the roofrack) as added protection for the tent floor. Should it get dirty through muddy feet etc, I frequently take it out and wash it down before bringing it back in. I am planning to have a custom bag made which will not only contain the OZ-tent, but also the OZ-tent flysheet, extra poles, netted groundsheet and possibly a bag containing a stretcher as well so that I have one bag to load and secure onto the roofrack where I can lift this large bag onto the roofrack by first lifting it onto my shoulder and then leaning it against the back of the roofrack on the vehicle before pushing it up.. Regarding the cordless drill, it is complemented by a compact set of sockets and screw-driver bits, two 2.0Ah power packs plus their 220v charger, a charger with two USB A ports powered by a cordless power pack, a cordless LED worklight and a cordless tyre inflator plus a cordless fan that all work with the same power packs and are packed in their own bag. A string of amber coloured LED lights powered by USB and originally sold as Christmas decorations, complement this setup that has become indispensable in my 4x4 excursions.

Hey sam, thanks for the vedio. Did you ever camp in strong winds? Hows it in harsh weather?
@saminc17053 жыл бұрын
Yeah we have camped in some pretty windy places. As long as you put in good pegs and keep guide ropes tight it's fine. I have heard that in the show it can sag under heavy snow

Hey mate, thanks for the review. Really considering pulling the trigger in the next few weeks but I don't have a roof rackr on my prado just yet. Do you think I could stuff it inside with the seats down? Have you tried?
@saminc17053 жыл бұрын
Ill get the measuring tape out on the week end. do you have a 150 prado?
@Disinf3ctant3 жыл бұрын
@@saminc1705 Yep. Exactly the same as yours but they didn't have the fancy red color when we went to buy haha

Just measured my tent. 2150mm in a drifter bag. If you put drivers side passanger seat forward and have it on a diagonally set possition you might just sqeeze it

Great review mate. How would you rate this against Blackwolf Turbo tents?
@saminc17053 жыл бұрын
The Black Wolf turbo 240, is the most similar price and size wise, I like the Front Awning on the black wolf better as it slopes away for better drainage, Black wolf looks like more work to set up , but the bag it comes in packs away smaller then Oztent. Roof space also better on wolf 240. would have to depend on your camping style. Oz tent suits me as I have a roof Rack but if you had to get everything into a sedan wolf would be a good choice.

Why keep saying how cold it is? Sorry but most of us don’t camp when it’s minus 2 so it’s a bit on an irrelevant review. No setup info. Unrealistic conditions and who camps where cows are pooing let’s be honest. Repetitive info.

Julianne Thanks for the review of my review. To Answer your questions,: I'm From the Northern Territory Cold camping is pretty new for me. if you need more setup info on OZ tents plenty of videos showing set up on you-tube already: who camps where cows are? Well Us and 300 other people who where using the property. thanks for the tip Ill try Rehearsing my info next time to stop repeating myself.

He keeps talking about how cold it is because when your in the cold that's generally whats on your mind. Not sure you are aware, but people use these tents in situations other than what you may use them for. Bit of a princess aren't you. Maybe stick to camping in your living room with the heater on.
