To install/remove tranny with shifter attached did you have to tilt the engine forward or whatever? I saw some videos saying that

Hey bud, In my case I have adjustable motor mounts so I just let those loose in order to move the engine as I needed to set the transmission in place with the mounts and finally tight the motor mounts when everything was in place, also i used a jack to tilt the engine a little bit as well just be carefully with the oil pan if you do that use a piece of wood or something

I absolutely love flowmaster exhaust!!! I put their system on both my ‘66 289 coupe (w/trumpet tips aka Gt.), and also on my ‘93 LX hatchback 5.0 5 speed. These cars sound soo iconic w/flownasters imo

The car(s) are beautiful, but what’s more important is working on them with family. My dad has helped me on my ‘66 as well as my wife and daughter. Those memories will be cherished forever.

Beautiful car my dude! That first shake down drive is gonna feel so amazing! I love getting to the finishing up point on project cars. Your mustang is worlds more of a car than the jdm stuff I've done. High five to you, thank you for saving an American classic

Hey bud, thank you so much for your words....it's been a long roller coaster with this project for almost 4 years to make it driveable, but I'm super close to the end...I already test drive it and it was amazing all that effort resumen in a pleasant drive around the block, I'm a fan of American classic and this is my first one, but pretty sure won't be the last one...👍🏻👍🏻

Flywheel: 75-85 ft/lbs Pressure Plate 12-24 ft/lbs Bell housing: 28-38 ft/lbs

Is it okay to install the T5 with the bell housing already mated to the gearbox, or is it always easier to separate them?

For me, it wasn't too difficult to do it this way, some people assemble the trans and engine and drop everything together in the car, so I would say whatever is easier for you

@DannysClassicGarage Looks like a Saginaw pump? Nice. Later, the Ford bean counters wanted a new low buck pump to be made 100% at Ford. My dad was also tasked with that. People bitch about the quality but he received a couple of awards and a patent out of it. I tell people all the time, the engineers and designers are handed a task that includes a budget, timeline and material limitations. They're handcuffed to the problem. If it wasn't that way, I can promise you that everything they drafted up would have been machined out of solid billet.🤣
