The business coupe from49-52 came with a 216 As for the paint since this car has no damage I would guess about$7,ooo to put this back in good nic!

Very similar to the 57 Roadmaster two door Riviera that my Mother bought in 1964. Her's was the same colors in and out but had power windows and seat and factory air conditioning.

The transmission noise if not "grinding" of the gears, dude. What you're hearing is the whine sound of straight-cut gears which was typical in those Saginaw 3-speed transmissions in those early Chevys.

The 235 post 1952 has a fully pressurized oil system making it capable of long service.

Except for the 53 paired with a manual trans. The 216 was capable of a very long life as long as you didn't over rev it.
