The stock version of this pistol is straight up miserable to shoot. I bought one like an idiot years ago and it's been in the safe for almost that long. What was I thinking? The hinged 8 plus pound trigger is a joke.

I rotate between LCO Max, Canik Mete 9 and S&W bodyguard 2.0 all three fit in a De Santis Superfly holster that is a sticky holster but blocks the outline plus it’s velcroed so you can go left or right plus adjust to easy access

I have a P238. I intentionally left it dirty between range trips just to push the reliability test. ~300 rounds and no issues. Did you get your 938 working? I was thinking about getting one because I like the p238 so much.

if your comfort level says 18 rounds in the gun and 2 spare mags. You might want to rethink your life style.

I carry a 22 caliber Ruger LCP2. It holds 11 shots. The accuracy is amazing!! I can hit a 12oz coke can at 30 yards. I cant do that with 3 of my other guns. Two 357 revolvers and a sig sauer p-365. My 22 caliber Ruger is far more accurate. It is also reliable and the easiest for concealed carry. CCI standard velocity 40 grain ammo is the only ammo I use for this gun. Any other type of 22LR isnt reliable. At least thats how it is with my Ruger LCP2

Mine has broken 4 times. The barrel, the guide rod, and the locking block. The platform is too small. In giving up after SA promised no more defects. I sent it back last week to SA after the barrel broke a second time.

Good review, I bought an LCP as a BUG in 2008 when they first came out. I retired in 2014 and carried it as my primary CCW in summer and switch to a J-frame .357 in winter. I just bought a second LCP last week. The trigger is much improved, half the pull weight of the original. The sights are twice the height of the original but still snag free. They also seemed to have put a heavier recoil spring in the newer one which greatly reduced felt recoil. I put Hogue grips on both and put a Gallaway 13 pound recoil spring set and a stainless steel guide rod in my original gun and I carry both with Ruger extended 7 shot magazines and they are both great little shooters. I also paint the front sight with white and the red nail polish and the front sights are easier to pick up. The trigger still sucks on the original LCP but I shoot it just fine. BTW, I have XXL glove size hands and slide bite has never been an issue for me but YMMV. Funny, I think I paid $325 for the LCP in 2008 and only paid $199 for the new one. I like the LCP over the LCP II or the Max because I don't like safties on carry guns.

I want one but I have a CZ P01 and a P07 completely Gucci’d out and they are uber-accurate and smooth shooting. They’re both da/sa w/decocker models with full Cajun Gun Works Pro guts. 🤔

I have serval guns .40, .357, 9mm, .380 3 of them .22Lr 4 of them there all brand name. I find myself throwing that LCP 2 .22Lr in my pocket the most. Let me add this I'm retired in the country so I carry out here on my land the most & when I go too town there is a 20ga with # 1 buck in it in my SUV so the little 22 still works in the pocket.

Size wise, how does it compare to a Walther PPS M2? I love my Walther and put it in the rotation come summer time but it is a bit heavy for a single stack.
@IamGroot7864 күн бұрын
Thanks for the review. I didn’t shoot it but held it in my hand and that thing sure is tiny. I don’t know how they fit 10 rounds in that magazine even though it’s only a 380. I totally agree with you. I can’t tell you how many CC classes I’ve been to where guys show up with these big fancy guns with laser this and light that. It’s clear that they can’t possibly be carrying such a gun on a daily basis. But a free country I guess.

The reason the gen 5 won't fit in a gen 4 holster is because the gun is made for the 40sw and its higher pressure, with beefier slides and rails. It isn't a 9mm firearm, built for a 9mm and it's pressure, just with a wider barrel.
@Skeetacus34 күн бұрын
HOLD UP I KNOW 380 cap is more than enough that’s not the problem the real problem here is the price of 380 acp unless your constantly ordering online and scouting for deals it’s close to buying 45acp and almost double the price usually of 9mm so it begs the question is it worth buying it based on that because realistically you can find a steel framed gun in any caliber, size, weight etc. it’s always depending on the amount of money you will need to train with it. I bought one and I love it I just don’t love the price of 380

Actually needs to be that big for a reason- have to take advantage of that awesome 5.7 cartridge by having that longer barrel to get the most fps out of it. If this was in a 4 inch barrel this would not be nearly as good as a ruger or fn 5.7

I have owned the CZ PCR for several years. I do not use it for a carry pistol, but I do shoot it often. I have changed nothing except grips but have gone back to the OEM rubberized grips. I feel no need to change a thing even the smallish sights. Wonderful pistol.

Choosing a firearm is a personal matter; each purchase has its own priorities.Yet there are some generalities . . . “Fit” matters. If you’re not comfortable with the grip, your competence will suffer. Caliber? Don’t be bullied by what “everyone” says. Brand names? Every brand has some dogs - and some stars. What’s “just right” for someone else might not be the best for you. Buy it and try it. Personally, I really like to use my Bersa .380. I prefer my .380 “1911” to my Glock - and I really like the Glock.! My tiny Kel-tec? Only if I have no other option. Oddly enough, these days I find a .38 Special snub-nose to suit my needs most often. There have been other times when 9MM ruled the roost.

I bought my pcr D new a few years ago. Shot maybe couple hundred rounds before sending off to Cajun Gun Works for pro kit and short trigger reset. The trigger action after the work is night and day better and the short reset kit is perfect as I have small-ish hands / fingers and this brings the trigger back closer to the grip. Expensive, but transformed the gun into something I absolutely love to shoot. Never gets old. I've IWB concealed carry it a lot and it is what it is. Certainly do-able but not perfect with it's size and weight. OWB with a flannel over top it's fine of course. Looking to get a 2075 Rami D for CC going forward as I love the decocker set-up for CC carry. Perfect blend of safety and accessibility imo. Just not comfortable with striker fired pistols or using manual safeties for carry.

First handgun I've ever own and first one I've fired outside of the M9 during my time in the Army. I honestly have no complaints about it for myself. But on a small note, One of my female friends fired a mag through it and it did jam up, but never for me. I attribute it to the fact she wasn't holding it firmly enough and the gun wasn't able to properly feed the next round in from the lax tension. I've seen this before so I wasn't concerned. Ran another mag through it and no problems for myself. I'm properly satisfied with it.

Heckler and Koch armorer story , "If you wanna hear something about how tough these guns are. We had a USP45 come in a few months ago. It was sent to us by Federal Ammunition Company. They wanted us to replace anything needed and evaluate the weapon. To be honest all of the parts on the gun looked original except we could tell they had put newer recoil springs in it. The gun was date coded in the 90's and looked like it had been shot A LOT. So me and the other guys got curious an gave Federal a call asking what the round count was... We gave the lady the serial # and a few keyboard strokes later she says Are you guys sitting down? 297,000+ Then he says "yeah I can't remember the last 3 digits but I'll never forget the first three" The Best Combat handgun ever made Period.

For what it's worth, I just bought my first J frame model 60 no dash ( 1969 - 1970) and my local gun shop knows I have XXL hands and a N frame collector. He said don't get after market grips like Hogue or larger wood grips for this one because it will crowd your hand on the gun to the trigger guard and reach. I guess I am keeping the tiny wood grips. LOL

Yeah I used to be a three dot guy as well....till the late 90's but once again things change people realize and understand that you pick up the front sight and that's the only thing you really need cuz it's just a space that you're actually looking for you're looking at to make sure on a split second that the space is even and so forth and so on comes with training repetition training repetition you don't need two dots in the back all you need is a front side training training training as far as red dots go everybody will say that's preference but to be honest that is the wave of the future should you still have hard sites as a backup of course anything electronic mechanical etcetera is always subject to fail so anything electronic slammed onto a mechanical device reciprocating with such force of course it can happen things get drop things break so forth and so on yada yada blah blah these aren't opinions these are facts your eyes only work in certain ways look Scott with modern Samurai project other good competition Shooters that's one of the things that carries over from competition to combat shooting is getting to your front sight very quickly and picking that up and the rear side is not going to help you with front side Focus

I've had the Sig P238 and the Kimber micro and I love them equally! One upgrade I think it doesn't look as beautiful but the Hogue wrap around grip. Man that thing really locks it in your hand, that little extension between the trigger guard and your middle finger really locks it in your hand even better! As well as being bell shaped a little bit at the bottom of the grip. I admit those wood grips are beautiful but I love that Hogue wrap around.
