As a T2 diabetic, I find registered dietitians lacking. Was in Hospital, on liquid diet, and they kept trying to get me to drink an insure with 52 grams of carbs! The menu, horrific! Low fat this and high sugar that. You would think Hospital would get it right.

I loved the podcast. love Dr. Stacy and her great work for women😊💪🏼 It would be amazing if you also talked about vegan and vegetarian diet, if it’s healthy long term? If you can get enough protein with it? cause there is very little information about it I think.

If you look for other interviews with Dr. Sims she addresses this. I believe she eats a plant-based diet.

Very informative and host seems to be lovely but I’m so tired of language that disparages men and promotes emasculation. Women need to stop making men the enemy and using language like this is not helpful.

The scientific view is that the body is a machine. So they are looking to explain emotions as some wiring in the brain that gets triggered sometimes. BUT if you consider that the body is not a machines but purpose driven then it is not hard to understand emotions. If you look carefully, you will find that an emotion arises where there is an issue. For the five basic emotions. An issue of danger gives rise to fear (the fight or flight response) An issue of injustice or violation gives rise to anger. The person may need to take an aggressive stance to get justice or ward off a violation. An issue of loss gives rise to sadness and grief. In sadness and grief the person needs to come to terms with the loss, to grieve and get past it. An issue of perplexity gives rise to worry. The person needs to think and reason and problem solve. An issue of good fortune or something good / pleasurable happening gives rise to happiness. Sure in each case there is some brain activity involved but the emotion is in the body. We react to ideas and that reaction is in the body, it is physiological. Emotion is a physiological response to some idea that is pointing at an issue.

So, I had to stop. Can't listen to intentional misleading info. Vit C came up and no info passed on that existing long term carnivores do not suffer scurvy. No studies that I know of, but the vit C needs of carnivores are apparently different, or C is provided through diet some how. Could have at least mentioned this fact.

How does this 2x per week high intensity training such as EMOMs etc not trigger high cortisol when someone is already struggling with chronic high cortisol and can't lose weight because of stress?

So as i'm sitting here watching the video comments keep popping up but when I click on the particular comment, It's nowhere to be found. Happened 3 times. Thoughts? Instructions on how to find them? Also, honey, no matter how its processed is still sugar and most menopausal, women or anybody with insulin resistance should not touch it. In addition, I'd rather have a steak, or bacon and eggs for breakfast(or first meal) which is much more beneficial and satiating than any processed protein powder. Also, anything oat related is highly inflammatory. Finally, intermittent and long-term fasting works for me and as I see in the comments that actually ARE visible, for other women as well.

Right, Dr B. The best way to know whether one has a healthy gut is when there's no bloating, no pain, no feeling of nausea, when I eat a certain kind of food. I dont have to know whether I have the right microbes, bacteria and all. Fiber hurts my gut.
@anneflynn96143 күн бұрын
Your gut has to gradually get used to fiber.

@anneflynn9614 I'm 77 YO. Suffered from IBS almost 40 yrs of my life, hospitalized 4x, no doctor ever really helped, discovered low carb, got rid of fibrous veggies. Introduce fiber again? No, no, no!

A big part of the equation needs more focus: our guts. Gut health has a huge impact on our feelings and mental health which in turn affect our emotions.

This was truly sooo good! Thanks so much!I do have a question with the natural way of fasting that you talk about,like wake up have something but I wake up at 5am and dinner is around 7pm that’s not enough time to have a natural fasting 12-14h and there is no way I could eat any earlier, I would be so hungry by 8-9pm or simply not sleep when I go to bed… have a hard time with this, anyone have ideas 😅

OMG I feel like I've been brainwashed over the last few years with intermittent fasting and various food eating options (yeah, by bro culture). Great information. I was watching a KZbin by Laura Try which busted a few diet/exercise/health myths and led me to Dr Stacy, which led me to this channel. Awesome show - such good, common sense 30/30/30, exactly how I used to eat before being brainwashed in trying to lose 20 lbs. Will definitely watch this channel again.

I don’t think it’s right for this interviewer to make reference to Mindy Pelz or any other that is ‘pro’ fasting. It’s ok there are different views right or wrong but Mindy Pelz is doing great work and trying so hard to help women globally in their transitions. All such contradictory information is confusing for the majority…

How does this apply to people who don't fit the norm? I'm 50, menopausal, have morbid obesity and severe insulin resistance. I have found intermittent fasting to be the only way I can see any results. If I eat more than once a day I gain every day. I'm simply not able to eat that often or that much food/carbs. What would you suggest trying?
